Everything! What a beautiful spot. Close enough to Queenstown but in a quieter, more secluded and stunning place. The place itself is fully self-catering. They even have some books and puzzles :)

We liked everything Matakauri had to offer. The staff were more like friends and treated us like family. Sitting in the lounge in front of the fireplace enjoying the view of the mountains was absolutely stunning. AND the food was fabulous!!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very unusual and stylish hotel room...quirky design, spacious, very very comfortable bed and pillows. Great location less than 5 minutes walk from the centre . I left some photos in the room and they emailed me within a very short time arranging to return them to me.

Great location, very comfortable hotel. Lounge area, with a happy hour from 5 to 6pm., so we got to meet and chat with other guests - great idea. The Bespoke Kitchen is next door, so if you need something more than the hotel's continental breakfast, you just pop across the road. Lovely hotel to stay in, we left to stay in Glenorchy for 2 days, and the hotel stored our big cases til we returned for another night. Perfect service.
