The cycle track is great, which goes along the beachfront, and is part of the Great Tasman Taste Trail. The shops are ok, lots of cafes and places to eat. Would especially recommend Simply Indian. The Sunday market is awesome. Motueka is the 'gateway' to Kaiteriteri and Golden Bay, including National Parks, and walkways (Abel Tasman Track and Heaphy Track).Guest review byDonnaNew Zealand - 10.0
It was central to where we stayed at the River Terrace...
It was central to where we stayed at the River Terrace Cottage as we could do some shopping at the supermarkets, variety of restaurants and retaiil shops for beautiful quality clothes. Do keep a eye out for honesty boxes along the roads where farmers put out their produces which you can buy and then just put the money in a box. It wasn't far from the Nelson National Park where we went for a 1/2 day trip on a water taxi to have lunch at the Awarau Lodge.Guest review byAstrid Van BoomNew Zealand - 8.0

The room was so clean and the bed super comfy and warm! We stayed here as we had a wedding in Motueka and the staff couldn’t have been more nicer in helping us check in early to get ready! Lots of coffee and tea selection, microwave, toaster and kettle plus an electric pan included in the room kitchenette area which is super handy if you wanted to have something at the motel!
