Great tavern and the motel style accomodation was beyond expectations looking out to the view . The food was home cooked Chinese ( but local recipes were available ) , fresh and flavoursome . Top place to stay , thanks John

Really friendly staff. Great wee cabin with everything you could need. Kids really enjoyed it. . Great location for running, biking , a swim and fishing all things we enjoyed.

We booked this very last minute, to break up our journey from Kaiteri down to Christchurch as we were also spending the next day in Hanmer. We were welcomed and greeted very warmly and directed to our really clean comfortable and spacious family suite. The whole site is very well kept, quiet and set in a beautiful location with animals and birds all around. Playground for the children. Takeaways down the road for dinner. A great spot for a stopover or if you have time, to spend a couple of nights to add in spending a day in Murchison to add in some of the touristy things to do in the area. :)
