City is nestled inside crown mountain and other mountainous ranges. Amazing views from the city . Lots of attractions for everyone - kids, teens and adults . Only downside is expensive to stay long and most activities have high cost. Skyline gondola with luge rides and Deer park heights were the best attractions. We enjoyed driving to Glenorchy as well with many stunning locations to stop by and take beautiful photographs. Glenorchy lake and trail at the lagoon, luge rides for kids, trip to lake Wanaka, bit of skiing and time at kids play area at the Remarkables, trip to arrow town, kiwi bird park and flight and cruise to Milford sound. All are stunning activities to do. While the weather forecast was dull at the time of my booking the trip in march, the actual weather was fantastic during our stay in the first week of October.
