Very nice town with plenty of places to eat.
Very nice town with plenty of places to eat. We visited the local RSA and the people there were very friendly, also very helpful. The meal we had was very good and the drinks very reasonable. A town full of surprises with opportunities for young and old. Close to t he river and jet boating and river kayak trips, ski fields in either direction, seasonal rail cart possibilities, cycle trails nearby and some good options for shopping and dining. A remote country town, with most of the usual facilities etc. Good river activities. Great railway history with good historical displays, museum. One of the best RSA's with a good restaurant. We were greeted at the car park and welcomed then led through a beautiful garden to the house entrance where we shown the facilities and our room. We were left to our own requirements, quiet reading time, trips to sights, great Thai restaurant meal then back to the lodge. It was like coming back to a top class hotel.
