Friendly host. Thank you Dave for giving us useful travel information in the areas, he is very kind and helpful. He helped us to open the water pump for the washing machine.Thank you so much! Beautiful cottage with everything we need, like a home. I think we can see the stars if the sky is clear. Twizel is a beautiful town, many beautiful lakes, and delicious lunch at the salmon farm. We visited Mount Cook NP the following day. Thank you Dave for the useful information.

Perfect room in a perfect place! The room is large with super comfortable bed, bathroom is also quite large, everything is clean. When you walk out of the room outside, you get an incredible view of the mountains. In the morning you can make breakfast, kitchen is well equipped and has everything. And as bonus, Mary, the host, is super nice!

A fabulous cottage, clean, comfortable, with everything one could want provided. The patio was a lovely private place to chill. Twizel itself is small but with good facilities and an excellent supermarket. An easy walk from the cottage to the shops and restaurants. Easy driving distance to the lakes and Mt Cook. Loved our time here.

Didn’t do much in Twizel itself as it was for us just a stopover on a long roadie, and we had been in the area before. But there is heaps to do and see within a short drive. We had our own food with us so didn’t eat out. The camp kitchen was great.

My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several...

My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several years now. My husband comes for the fishing and I for the photography. We have stayed in all seasons. This time it was July middle of winter. Didn't catch any fish but I got some great photos. Had a lovely meal out at Poppies. Would recommend them. We were disappointed with our accommodation, but it didn't ruin our stay in Twizel.

Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery.

Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery. The town itself is very small, but offers so much with scenic walks, activities & the locals are super friendly. We had dinner at the Razza Bar - a small, old school bar with the best atmosphere & great food. The owner was really friendly and told us all about the lord of the rings filming and where we could find the area where the fight scene was filmed which was very cool. Beautiful place & we can’t wait to come back

The view is fantastic. We need to stay longer next time. Twizel is a good centre point for 2 lakes Lake Pukaki and Lake Takapo. Compare with stay in Lake Takapo, Stay in Twizel is more valuable. If you are hiring car yourself to teavel.

The lake is brilliant and perfect for our power boat racing.

The lake is brilliant and perfect for our power boat racing. The restaurants were fantastic and the food was great. The 'hardware store' is more than that! You should definitely check it out. They have everything!

Good location from which to visit Mnt Cook/Aoraki and the Tekapo and Pukaki lakes. Ideal stopover for us as we headed from Christchurch to Queenstown. High Country Lodge was clean and comfortable with a spacious room and good facilities.

We booked three cabins for us as a family. Apparently, Booking.com randomly rsvped three cabins split across the holiday park. That is of course extremely difficult when traveling together with shared luggage. Friendly staff sorted it out and gave us an upgrade so we could be together, but not without questioning it.

Rob and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The accommodation was the best facilities and price wise. We stayed in Lake Tekapo, Queenstown, Oamaru and Twizel Holiday Park beat them all on value (price) the accommodation and facilities. We will stay there longer rather.
