We absolutely loved our stay at Leiras do Tempo Cottages! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Henrique, the co-owner of the lodging. He explained everything clearly and accompanied us to our cottage. The cottage was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It is located in a paradise-like setting surrounded by beautiful mountains and the views were breathtaking. The staff is also very friendly and kind. Helena, the other co-owner, was wonderful too. She baked us a cake for our 33rd wedding anniversary! Finally, the food was excellent- the breakfast was abundant with home-made jams with locally sourced fruits, fresh home-made cheese and wonderful juices. The home-made cake on Sunday was equally delicious! We had dinner at the restaurant on site (O Abocanhado) and we highly recommend it. We had a peaceful and wonderful stay at Leiras do Tempo Cottages. It is the perfect location to rest and to explore the National Park of the Gerês.

We loved everything about this hotel. It was located in the perfect spot, with parking and free access to the park where the pools are located. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and had a truly luxurious feel. We stayed for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were super comfortable with great pillows as well. Best sleep I've had in Portugal so far. The breakfast was really great with lots of variety at the buffet. Staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We recommend this family run B&B as a destination for relaxation and/or as a base to explore the region. We made use of the pool. Our room was large and cool without AC. The family were very welcoming and helpful. We had a welcome platter and cold drinks by the pool when we arrived. We followed up on the restaurant suggestions, and enjoyed the choices made. We loved the local Praia fluvial. The large patio and the view out over the valley was enjoyed at meal times and catching up on reading.

Above all, we were delighted with the host, that were very forthcoming, proactively offering help on any other needs - including toys for our little one. We loved it! The hosts--a family of three--were attentive to our every desire. Fresh baked bread and pastry began the day along with an extraordinary selection of cheeses, meats, local jams and honey, fruit, cereals, yogurts, eggs, and more. The day ended with equally impressive dinner prepared on the premises with fresh salad, smashed potatoes, stir fried julienne vegetable, chicken stew, and more. The grounds were inviting and quiet. Also served outstanding local wine and excellent small batch craft beer.
