Great holiday home in good location for hiking. Good outdoor seating. Kitchen well stocked with cups, pots and pans. We appreciated the fresh fruits. There was also sufficient tea and a small amount of coffee capsules for the coffee machine.

wonderful place away from the busy streets of the cities, where it is actually possible to recharge and relax. I like very much the warm swimming pool and the possibility to use the outdoor grill. Owners extremely kind and helpful. The whole family (2 adults and 2 kids 12 and 10 years old) really enjoyed the place. Loulè very easy to reach (10 min) and Faro about 25 mins away

We were Self Catering but the complimentary eggs from the owners free range chickens were very much appreciated. We were invited to join them for a typical Portuguese meal on two occasions. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The location was beautiful and at night you could hear nothing except the frogs in the pond. If you a looking for solitude to enjoy the sun and a pool then this is the place.

The location - the mountain and golf course scenery was stunning The breakfast - varied/delicious and plentiful The gym - super sleek got most equipment The pools & sauna (had the sauna to myself each time I visited!!) The planting/landscape (whoever designed this place really put thought into everything) Late breakfast times - sooo nice to not have to rush down for brekki 11am close) The rooms!! Huge and just amazing The level of thought into EVERYTHING If this was their first summer I can’t imagine what it will be like in the future.

The welcome by the staff was exceptional and I was made to...

The welcome by the staff was exceptional and I was made to feel comfortable and as though I was an important person to them. The bar area was lovely and the restaurant for breakfast was really nice too. The room was comfortable and cool during the heat of summer and the bed was very comfortable too and allowed me a very nice nights sleep. The atmosphere in the bar was vibrant and the seating outside was peaceful. I didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool but was shown to it by the staff. The car park had plenty of room for my car and felt very secure. Everybody was really accommodating and friendly and I enjoyed the chat with the staff about football over breakfast.

Cortelha is on the iconic N22 route.

Cortelha is on the iconic N22 route. There's nothing there really except this lovely restaurant/bar/accommodation and beautiful scenery. It's more of a stopover place than someone to base yourself.
