A hotel on a quiet street in a central area but away from the hustle, yet with excellent transport connections to tourist attractions. The metro and bus stops are just across the street, with a beautiful park nearby, small grocery stores, eateries, and two large supermarkets very close. Comfortable beds, quality bedding with no detergent scent, which I really appreciated. Very clean room and bathroom, with good quality toiletries. A good hairdryer as well. There is a flight path over the area, meaning occasional aircraft noise. We really appreciated the excellent soundproofing of the windows. Good breakfast. Perhaps a bit repetitive for a longer stay, but the food was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful, especially the fruits and cakes. The best Pastel de Nata in the city! The lobby bar serves good red wine and a delicious tuna sandwich - served warm! Highly recommended! Exceptionally friendly staff, both at the reception and in the dining area. The people here truly good at their jobs! It’s hard to say when we’ll be back in Lisbon, but when we do return, we’ll definitely stay here again. And now we know what to recommend to friends!

I loved the diversity of the North & South, the history of its buildings, the overall helpfulness of its people, and its cuisine. if not Portuguese speaking, you definitely need a guide book to help navigate it’s streets, it’s transportation lines & options. There are so many twists and turns in the streets . Although this is the historic character that sets its interesting tone, it takes concentration to get from a-b. He odd tourist booth would help. That said, there was one near the castle. The attendant’s priority didn’t seem to be the public. I waited a long time while she engaged with a colleague. Another situation to remedy: coming out of the bus station in Porto ( not yet experiencing a taxi situation), I encountered a rather dogmatic person in his insistence that he WAS a taxi driver. I was in the vehicle before I realized his phone set up was likely not tied into a Uber or taxi dispatch. I seemed to drive in circles and I figured he charged me incorrectly. I learned later from a taxi driver called by my concierge, that he charged me twice as much. Signage to navigate your transit would be helpful. A system needs to be in place so we are not left in vulnerable positions.

Bustling old town. Lots of historic buildings.

Bustling old town. Lots of historic buildings. Close transport to other areas. Very reasonable metro and train system. We have been before, but hadn’t remembered it was so hilly. Some may need to book a tour guide to avoid having to climb the seven hills.

great city to see. 4 days is plenty of time to see the town and go to tohr sites as day trip such as sintra , belem and cascais beach with ut russhing . the trains are very easy to take. the train to sintra (rossio station) is straight forward as well as the train to belem and cascais ( cais de sodre line -same line) definitely walkable town. Uber is best for transportation if you need to - very inexpensive. ( better than a taxi cost)

Lisbon holds dozens of places that tells you the history...

Lisbon holds dozens of places that tells you the history since the dawn of the region up to today’s era. Their Lisbon Card is a steal as it grants you access to dozens of museums for free. It’s architecture complements a unique sight around the Tagus river. Portuguese culture is quite rich when it comes to food & drinks, with so many options to delight yourself that one week might not be enough. Be sure to try the ginjinha or some wine bar like the Tipsy Turtle Lisbon for a great time. The city is quite well adapted to tourism, with good transport around all the metropolitan area. The Lisbon Card equally allows you to travel around easily without worrying. Some busy areas lack a bit of better care, which is unfortunate but does not impact the journey at all. It is a great destination to explore at your own pace, just be ready to walk and specially to face dozens of uphill walks as the city is quite uneven.

I recommend, definitely the tile museum, fado performances, walks around the city, not only the centre but also the part where there are a lot of Art Nouveau buildings. Disappointing was the visit to the Hieronymus Monastery - a lot of hassle to get there, and inside just a half-hour walk through the cloisters. But the biggest disappointment was the MAAT modern art museum. Apparently there is another one I didn't get to.

Amazing hotel, feels like 5 stars. The hotel is located perfect to explore Lisbon. There is a great breakfast with a huge selection of bread, fruit, cheese / meat etc. In the afternoon there are cookies (pastel de nata) coffee and tee also port wine. The rooms are big and fit the classic style, good beds (mattress is adjustable, just ask) .. also there is a bottle of port wine. Another big pro is the nice staff everywhere and there is a kind of concierge service included. Shoutout to Elliot 🤙 (everyone else was also great)

The staff are amazing, especially Martini, who goes out of his way to make every guest feel welcome and special. The position is unbeatable and should get 11/10. It's right in the very best heart of Lisbon. You are also just a few meters away from the Metro Restadoudoris. Take the metro from the airport 1.50€.. Don't come expecting a 5* hotel, but rather a boutique hostel with a 5* vibe. Highly recommended.

Although it is a bit far from the centre, you have a free shuttle bus every half an hour, the metro is also close or by taxi is also really cheap to reach the centre.
