Outstanding location. My lovely room had a little balcony with a view of the arch. The room was spotless and spacious and the cleaners did a great job daily. The fridge and desk were appreciated. Wonderful, friendly staff. The value for money was exceptional. Location was brilliant for morning running - hotel to the Belem Tower along the water and back is c. 15km; perfect!

Food, Fado and Fun in Lisbon

Facing the Tagus River and built on seven hills, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It offers unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.

The city is famous for its districts: the Belém's famous monuments; the Alfama's labyrinthine streets, bars and small shops; and the trendy Alcântara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are located in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in the Baixa.

Enjoy a walk in the greenery of Jardim Botânico, admire the architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery or explore Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese food. No meal is complete without some famous pastéis de nata!

Getting to the city centre is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cosy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your holiday in Lisbon.

It is a beautiful city with lots on offer.

It is a beautiful city with lots on offer. Great sightseeing and heritage, fantastic museums, beautiful culture. My favourite museum is currently closed (Calouste Gulbenkian Museum), but I visited the National Museum of Ancient Art, which was interesting as well as Museum of the Orient this time. Enjoyed an evening at the FX Factory, OutJazz Festival in magnificent Jardins do Palácio Marquês de Pombal, and a day trip to Sintra. Gorgeous pastries, nice cool beer and friendly people.

This was my second visit to Lisbon, and the city continues to impress. The locals are friendly, and while navigating Lisbon requires a fair amount of walking, exploring the Old Town’s hills is part of its unique beauty. Along the way, visitors will find excellent dining options and diverse shopping experiences. Overall, Lisbon offers a perfect balance of culture, charm, and hospitality.

Lovely city with nice buildings and plenty of restaurants and bars. However it can get very busy if there are cruise ships in the port. Be very careful if you go on the tourist Tram 28 as it can get very packed and make sure you get on the correct tram on your way back to Parca Martim Monitz otherwise you will end up somewhere you have no clue about.

Loved Lisbon! What a fantastic city with myriad offerings!

Loved Lisbon! What a fantastic city with myriad offerings! If you are in decent shape (I am 72, my husband 80, both in admirable condition), you will be able to handle a walk-about. You can eat at an inexpensive restaurant or at a 5-star hotel on the same block. Important sites are just a stone's throw, or an Uber ride away. Suppose you have been away long enough to miss the great American burger, as we were. In that case, there is a great burger place called To.B, located within 2 blocks of where we stayed (confirm the location as they've moved). Their burgers were better than ours!

Lisbon is a very interesting historical city which I have...

Lisbon is a very interesting historical city which I have visited three times in 4 years. It is virbrant and there is a lot to do and see. However I have noticed as Lisbon has become much busier with tourists and a go to destination it not as clean as it once was and is much more expensive for accomodation of a lesser standard than I have previously booked. It is also more expensive to eat out this year than previous years and the service is not so good. I feel Lisbon is becoming complacent in terms of tourism and given that it is dependent on this for their service industries they need to take note as the influx of tourists that they are enjoying at the moment will seek other places where they will get better value and feel more valued and appreciated. That said it is a must see city but do your research on accomodation and the area you choose to stay in. Please also note you need a good level of fitness for walking in Lisbon as there are many hills which could be an issue for those with mobility issues. Although there are the famous trams to get around No 28 in particular and also Tuk Tuks. The best places for drinks are the roof top bars where the service is good and the staff smile!!!! although more expensive for this service. The cathedral and churches are amazing and please visit the church of Santa Clara where you will find a big market selling a variety of things from second hand to new. The Santa Apolina area is up and coming and not so expensive you will find Fado bars and restaurants there.

Amazing hotel, feels like 5 stars. The hotel is located perfect to explore Lisbon. There is a great breakfast with a huge selection of bread, fruit, cheese / meat etc. In the afternoon there are cookies (pastel de nata) coffee and tee also port wine. The rooms are big and fit the classic style, good beds (mattress is adjustable, just ask) .. also there is a bottle of port wine. Another big pro is the nice staff everywhere and there is a kind of concierge service included. Shoutout to Elliot 🤙 (everyone else was also great)

Listen folks, it’s a cheap hotel in general but good standard. Too sterile vs the work paid 5 star hotel on same city but did the job very well for an extra night. Convenience stores near by. I did not have breakfast there so I cannot comment on the food. Location was good but uphill on Lisbon pavements with Willy bag on a rainy day not a great combination. Overall very pleased with product I got.

Location on Av de Liberdade was the best thing about the hotel. Some rooms had a nice view over the Avenida. Breakfast buffet was decent, though food was inconsistently labeled, some tables had jams while others didn’t. This would have been fine had this been a budget 3 star hotel, but was a disappointment when I thought I had booked a 5 star one.

Recommend hotel with comfy room, breakfast and helpful staff. Convenient location to both the main attractions of Lisbon (10 min from the city centre) and the airport (about 50 min), thanks to the proximity to a subway station (Sao Sebastiano). The luggage storage after checking out is very much appreciated.

The staff were very helpful as I had injured my leg and couldn’t walk properly. They gave me ice and a dish to put in ankle. The omelettes for breakfast were 5 star hotel quality. The best omelettes cooked with a fantastic smile by our Colombian chef. Such a great cook.
