From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the staff were all pleasant, helpful and informative, especially Joao. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was superb, lots of choice and good ingredients. We have stayed in 5 star hotels that do not come anywhere near our experience when staying at Don Rodrigues. This is a beautiful apartment, furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard. The outside area was a pleasure to relax in after our busy days. The location was convenient to local amenities but also very quiet and private. The host provided a welcome pack of fruit, bread and wine as well as a little gift of local salt, honey and olive oil. This is one of the best properties I’ve stayed in and will definitely plan to return

This is a truly amazing place and was the BEST accommodation we ever stayed at in Portugal. The facilities are fantastic: Rooms are beautifully arranged and include a coffee machine, fridge and microwave which served all our needs during our stay. The outside facilities including the pool and sunbeds are very comfortable and come with an amazing view. The place is very quiet, so you can have a very relaxing time at the pool, listening to the birds, watching the beautiful sunsets and the sky full of stars at night. We stayed 4 days and nights and actually never left the resort during that time because we enjoyed our time so much there. To highlight is the owner Francisco who puts all his heart into this resort and offers an extraordinary service: When we arrived, the fridge was filled with some beers, coke and snacks; every day, he asked us if we needed anything and offered us breakfast, snacks and drinks. Whatever question or need we had - Francisco was always available, very caring and happy to support. It feels like family and we will definitely come back.

Location was excellent, close to train station and not to far from bus station and 5mins to centre of town. Appartment was clean and tidy had everything you could have needed as well as a welcome pack. Lots of room with an firstfloor outdoor terrace.
