The friendliness of the entire staff, the perfect location (all sights are within walking distance and two metro stations are also within walking distance), the housekeeping was impeccable, the shower pressure was excellent, and the proximity to a supermarket and restaurants. In short, everything was perfect.

We liked it all, the staff was extremely professional and nice at the same time. The room was modern and very clean. The charger for the electric cars is a plus that the hotel offers for a small charge which is for sure less than in any public charging station.

Perfect location we were able to walk all of town and all the main sights from there, nice design and rooms, friendly and helpful staff, we didn’t have the breakfast included but opted for it twice and it was really good, good selection and food presented in a very nice, detail oriented way (you can tell someone puts some thought and heart in it :)). Would come back anytime! Parking in the garage close by worked well as well.

A very good mix of the best traditional aspects of the city of Porto on its front and in the street itself, with the modern touch of the internal area, with a comfortable and private place to enjoy the staying. The team was great and very thoughtful. The details are very important and it was amazing to feel very welcomed to our room, with a lovely tray with some of the best Pastéis de Nata that we had in our lives! A beautiful place that offered us a lovely experience.

    Unbelievably charming city.

    Unbelievably charming city. River, history, wine valleys, and modernity all in one town/region. Lots to do and a great launching point. Not for the faint of heart for exploring on foot....lots of hills and steps. Physically disabled persons will need assistance getting around.

    We loved Porto, so beautiful and so lively.

    We loved Porto, so beautiful and so lively. It seemed to be a nice mix of locals, university students and tourists. The historic area is pretty compact and it is easy to get to all of the sites. The public transportation system was clean and reliable. We took the number 500 bus all the way out to the fish market and beaches in Matosinhos. On the way back it is pretty easy to get a seat on the upper deck and get a great view of the city. Skip the touristy Linha 1 tram.

    It was easy to navigate & walk around.

    It was easy to navigate & walk around. We loved both sides of the river & the cafes / restaurants along both sides. The views & the old buildings/ rooftops were beautiful from the many elevated roads & pathways & steps. It was very busy but queues went down quickly. The climate was perfect & such a treat sitting out in the sunshine into early evening. The main station was very easy to use & get trains to other towns/cities & so cheap.

    GA Palace felt like a luxurious home away from home - which makes sense, since the owner lives there and obviously takes great care and pride in his Palazzo. As it was my birthday we were upgraded to a beautiful suite, one of the nicest and most spacious hotel rooms we have stayed in. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious and varied, the room lovely and comfortable, and the pool relaxing and much appreciated after a hectic 10 days in Portugal.
