Very nice staff, nice room with hot tub outside. Breakfast is very good with amazing view on the river/sea. You can make your own fresh orange juice by putting the oranges in the automatic machine. It doesn't come any fresher than that: very nice touch! All of this give a perfect start of the day. They also serve buffet dinner with sushi, grill and pizza station above the self-serve for a very reasonable price. Food was very good!

Vila Nova is a pretty seaside town .

Vila Nova is a pretty seaside town . We came for a night and stayed for a fortnight. The supermarkets amd cafés are plentiful. There are many beautiful beaches and interesting things to see. The local bus takes you to pretty towns and villages nearby. Its a lovely place to have a holiday.

Visited for 3 days as part of a road trip through Alentejo into the Algarve. Lovely resort with river and sea beaches. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Visited out of season so very quiet apart from a volume of backpackers. Weather was perfect.

This charming seaside village offers an ideal spot to relax and recharge. Although it can get quite crowded in July and August, its peaceful atmosphere makes it perfect for a getaway. There are many cafés and restaurants where you can truly experience Portuguese cuisine, but as always, check reviews to steer clear of tourist traps!

it was a beautiful town with lots of restaurants and shops to visit. Unfortunately we were only in town for one night as part of our Fisherman's trail hike. We took the short ferry across the bay and did get to see the beach, which looked amazing

Great little town that provides good access up and down the west coast of Portugal. The beach nearby or on the other side of the river is excellent for a relaxed day and the town itself has a good number of restaurants/cafes etc. You can: - spend time at the beach - explore the coast (by car or walking) - paddleboard, kayak etc along the river - wander the town stopping at cafes/gelaterias/restaurants - all of the above

It's so quiet (January) the management transferred booking in and breakfast to a sister hotel. Fully understandable and wasn't an issue. Both hotels were very comfortable and clean The Quinta Do Moinho hotel was very pleasant with everything we needed for our short stay. The car parking was easy and the grounds well kept. Any other facilities at the hotel were closed.

Relaxed country location. Car or taxi needed to access town and other restaurants, although the hotel did food and takeaway available from local Asian restaurant/supermarket. We had a room upgrade as there were very few guests, which was very kind of them. Top quality Padel courts, which seemed to be a facility used more by locals than guests.

Fantastic small town with very few tourists. Nice beaches. Great restaurants. But still very quiet. The hotel staf were a great help and recommended a really nice restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary . The room was very comfortable and linen was of quality. Great stay.
