What a true gem I discovered on the go! The room was practical, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you could need. The highlight, however, was the location – these charming little cottages are absolutely perfect for relaxation. I really enjoyed my morning coffee in the peaceful setting, accompanied by the sweet chirping of birds. The host was so kind we would stay again just because of his kindness. Google maps took us to the wrong place so use apple maps to get there. The host sent pictures to help us find where to park. It is on the main road. Very easy once you know where to go.

4 generation, 5 adults and one toddler and a baby, enjoyed the weekend stay at Three Poneys, Cirbeni, Arges County, Romania. Highly recommended place to enjoy with family and friends, hold birthday parties or spend some time in the nature.

This was a modest hotel, with adequate facilities. Located at the Southern end of the Transfagarasan highway, it is a good start - or end - point of that thrilling journey through the mountans. It is also handy for the Poienari Citadel, perched high above the river - unfortunately currently (Oct 2024) closed.

The location at the base of the Transfargasan was perfect. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast excellent. A restaurant with pub food was on site and a small supermarket was next door.
