The host was extremely friendly. Upon arrival, they make tea and offer many shots of home made alcohol. They chit chat with us till late although they speak little English. They also give us a small bottle of home made alcohol for our stay.

The hotel premises were kept clean and secure. All reception/bar/restaurant/housekeeping staff were very polite and welcoming and Catalin was very helpful and offered assistance with every single enquiry I had including giving directions to reach specific parts of the city and good places where to dine in the evening when the hotel restaurant was closed.

I'm not sure I ended up staying at the Reteganu Apartment - though the picture above looks very like it. The (remarkably friendly) host mentioned that the apartment I had originally booked was - unfortunately - no longer available, but he put me up in another place he owned. This place was small, comfortable enough and very, very clean; yes, there was a little finishing off still needed, but for one or two people it was very suitable. To my surprise, the owner even came to the train station to collect me, checked up that I had managed to settle in and gave me a lift back to the station at the end of my stay. I was more than happy.
