The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. They always try their best to make us feel comfortable and help to answer all of our questions. The management team is very responsive. They even helped to recommend tour agencies and drivers when we were planning our itineraries. The resort is helping women to get quality job. The resort is very close to the headquarter of Volcanoes National Park, just a 20 minutes drive, so we get to prepare our activities in the Park with ease. The kitchen of the hotel is pretty nice too, as a vegan, they provide me a lot of options.

Ruhondo island retreat was fantastic - both in terms of natural beauty and as a gateway to many local community experiences around lake Ruhondo. Jean was amazing and led us on a hike and community visit - he shared awesome info about the area where he was born. The tents were awesome - with great hot water showers. The food was also excellent, the chef Elias did a great job! I would recommend visiting lake Ruhondo , and the retreat, as an alternative to lake Kivu.

I liked Fatima Hotel for its great location near Volcanoes National Park, beautiful mountain views, friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast. The amenities like the pools and spa made the stay even more relaxing.

The staff are AMAZING! So friendly - above and beyond. The room is simple and clean, the beds were comfortable. I felt safe. The location is really central if you like to explore the bustling town. We walked to 2 excellent restaurants within 5 minutes. They accommodated us with an early breakfast when we were trekking and a packed lunch for purchase. Amazing samosas. Thank you Garden Place Hotel!!

Especially at a town where it can be rainy it is important for me to have a hostel where I could hang around the whole day. And this is basically what I did at Masha's. All the people working there are so nice, the gallery is really interesting at it's just a really relaxed vibe. We had an amazing stay at Isange Paradise Resort! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us, even preparing a delicious picnic lunch for our early trip to the national park. The rooms were cozy and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true getaway. The food was absolutely delicious—every bite was full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for its comfort, great service, and fantastic meals!
