Magnificent villa! Exceeded our expectations by 1000%. All photos correspond to reality. The villa is equipped to the highest standard, has everything you need and even more. Beautiful swimming pool. 1200 steps to the beach, the same distance to the store. Arnold, the owner of the villa, is always in touch, and we would like to thank you for any help. Many thanks to the managers Christopher and Mavis for everything, great dinners, a great trip around the island and help with any questions. I really want to come back to you as soon as possible, and I didn't want to leave. Wait for us again, we will definitely plan a vacation.

Jeanne is the greatest host in the World! Thank you for the most wonderful holiday trip! For all your kindly help in any questions! And especially for the Birthday cake for our youngest son. We've stayed at River Villa in the beginning of November. A family of 7. Now about the house. People are different and their needs are different. For our big family it was the best place. The house is situated in a quiet place. There is a wonderful garden with plants, flowers and fruits. Jeanne treated us all the time with different fruits. In the morning when you wake up you hear all the birds and frogs in the garden, like you are in the heart of the jungle, it's great! The house is really big. There are two bedrooms on the first floor snd two on the second, with bathroom for the each one. There is a big hall, where there are a lot of books and boardgames, in the evening our children played chess. The house is decorated in the colonial style. So it is a strange effect: the house is big, but cosy at the same time. In the kitchen you have everything you need and even more. 2 Fridges, oven, dishwasher, coffee-machine, electric teapot, all the kitchen things. There is a splendid place for the laundry. And washing machine. What else? You can reach the beach in 10 minutes by feet, there is a quiet little one not far from the house. And to reach shops and Bouvaloon it takes 20 minutes by feet. We fall in love with this place! Thank you, Jeanne! I hope some day we come back!

Booking online is always a bit of a gamble, but the Forest Lodge is exactly as promised. All the photos are legit and it is indeed a very cozy guest house a bit away from all the noise, except for the many animal sounds from the surrounding beautiful forest. What we valued most while staying there for 12 nights was first of all the outstanding kindness and helpfulness of the manager and his staff. We were even lucky enough to have been offered a dinner, which was absolutely fantastic. As mentioned, we were very happy with the ambient and the abundance of space in the room/studio. Siting on the balcony and drinking your favorite morning/evening drink while watching birds and fruit bats flying all around is as good as it gets. We were surprised how well the staff maintain clean and tidy rooms as well as the surroundings of the house. We were also a big fan of the in-house drinks fridge, which is self-service. The only thing that could see some improvement in my opinion is the kitchenette. It is useful, but very basic. The stove is painfully slow. A gas stove or induction plate would be a superb upgrade. For some people, it should be noted, that there is quite a walk to the beach. There is a small local beach, but it is not as nice as the main one in Beau Vallon and it is not extremely close either. That said, we had no problem walking every day and using the bus. There is plenty of bus stops all around and it is a good way to explore the island. From the lodge to the main road is about 8-10 minutes walk, and a further 1 minute to the bus stop and another 2 minutes to the closest shop. The local beach is around 10-15 minutes of walking and the Beau Vallon beach is around 30 minutes of walking. If this is a problem for you, rent a car. There is free parking at the lodge.

The cottage is comfortable, all needs are satisfied, clean and meets all needs. The staff: (first impression is very important) Adrianna Mellon's smile, kindness and helpfulness assured us that we had come to the best possible place. The waving security guard, the decorating lady, the polite restaurant workers, the singing waitress, the Sri Lankan bar boy, the young spa masseuse, everyone contributed to making us feel good. The property is beautiful, situated on top of a hill. The view from the room is what makes this property worth every penny. The staff is fantastic, and it is the best place for a honeymoon. In Seychelles most of the properties are self-catering, this is one of the properties which serves the customer with the best of everything. I thoroughly recommend this property to anyone planning to go to Seychelles. It's worth staying at least for a day if you need peace from the daily hustle.

A cove to relax, chill out and soak up the peace and quiet. However, there’s a bus stop outside which, once a travel card is purchased and loaded with trips, it can take you on adventures all around the island.

We are travelling very often all over the world and never in our life we meet a person as Jeoanne, the owner of the apartment. She took care about us more than our mother, helping every need we had. She provide a taxi driver who showed us Mahe Island .Hubert was the best taxi driver in the world.

I like the area many thanks to do like shopping, booking experiences, good hotel and restaurants on the beach, a cazino if you like casinos. We love Coral Strand Hotel for eating there in their restaurants

There is not a lot of signposts for tourists to know where...

There is not a lot of signposts for tourists to know where walking trails start. You need to research it yourself and when you get to the start of the trail there is a sign but no arrow to tell you where to actually walk!

We like long beach walks; we had a plenty of it in Bel Ombre...

We like long beach walks; we had a plenty of it in Bel Ombre. We like seafood; a lot of small nice places to have it. I would avoid going to La Plage which is located on the beach - very untasty, very unpleasant service. All other place were quite good. And, once again - our stay there - for 3 days - was too short; we could spend there much more!

The hotel was located nearly at the end of a little town and it was nice and quiet there. All rooms have balconies with an amazing view! The bedroom and bathroom were well equipped. We had everything we needed...a water kettel and a little fridge, a TV. Perfect The staff was ever so nice! And always ready to help us. Thank you :) The hotel also has a restaurant and the food there was just delicious! I do recommend to eat there. Good food and rather good prices too for Seychelles.

- great views - can snorkel off rocks directly below BUT only if the water is calm - soundproofed walls - accomodations for our infant ( blender, high seat, cot) - good mattress, good size beds - equipped kitchen - access to beach chairs and amenities at Chateau Elysium - some review mentioned having to walk on the road to get to the beach - this isn't true. There is a nice sidewalk that starts at St Roch Church going all the way to the Berjaya/Chateau beach access road.

The place is very nice and also has a good pool which in this kind of accommodation is not so usual in the Seychelles. Staff are very kind, smiling and helpful. The family room was spacious, simple but clean.
