Wonderful castle and walks around and through the city were most enjoyable. The area is flat so no problems with steep inclines. Interesting history with many photo opportunities. Kalmar is a nice city.
Kalmar is a nice city. The old city walls and the castle give it a good feel. It's easy to take a day trip to Öland from here. I wouldn't recommend this during the fall season as it gets quite cold and windy. I must recommend the restaurant E.A.T.. We weren’t really expecting anything extraordinary but the apartment was so great! It was near the city center and the big shopping center. The apartment was small but it was enough for two persons. The landlord was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us nice advice on how to enjoy our stay and the city! In addition we got a parking lot directly at the apartment.
