Place is very good.. very good organised.. clean.. Room is small but good.. No wardrobes, it s a bit unpleasant.. not opening window, but fantastic ventilation. Food is included all day.. It is good it is choice but same food 2 days.. breacfast same, dinner bit difference.. also is Fika(cake with coffee tea).. very good.. Coffee and tea avaliable always for free.. The only not good thing is that they let you wait until 3pm to check in( they let us 2pm we arrived about 11am).. and you have to chack out until 11am.. But that is mistake in the rules not just here but everywhere in global.... They should be forbiden by law to sell a day 20 hours, not 24.. However.. Stay was Perfect!!! And again.. Very well organised place.. Thank you

My girlfriend and I had our stay from March 7th to 10th. We were totally thrilled. The hotel is beautiful and very well located. The entire hotel and the rooms are lovingly and beautifully furnished. Every floor and every room looks different. The equipment is of a very high standard and the whole hotel and the rooms are very clean. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the employees and the quality of service. The service is very attentive but not intrusive. We had the very tasty breakfast every day. The restaurant for dinner is also recommended. The quality of the food is excellent. During our stay at the hotel I proposed to my girlfriend. For this purpose, I had organized a violinist to play a piece of music in our hotel room. The organization together with the hotel was excellent. Special requests are very welcome and implemented wonderfully. We would like to thank the entire Lydmar Hotel team for our wonderful stay with you. We will definitely come back

A Natural Beauty

Modern Stockholm is uniquely made up of 30% waterways and another 30% of parks and green spaces. It’s spread across 14 islands and is both one of the world’s cleanest and most charming capitals.

Stockholm’s famously huge number of museums includes the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, the Moderna Museet and the Spritmuseum. City Hall hosts the famous Nobel Prize banquet and the Vasamuseet hosts the 300 year old Vasa warship.

The city’s past can be felt in Gamla Stan – Stockholm’s stunning Old Town with medieval layout, cobblestone streets and the Baroque-style Royal Palace. Designer Swedish clothes and interior decorations abound in the many unique stores throughout the city.

The Gamla Stan ("Old Town") area was my favorite area. Great for walking with lots of great narrow, cobbled streets and old, interesting architecture. Loads of fun shops and restaurants. I enjoyed the Vasa Museum, Skansen, and the National Art Gallery. Touring the fabulous City Hall is a great experience.

Stockholm was wonderfull Ticked all the boxes, historic, great food, good coffee, pretty easy to get around. Public transport was fast and on time (but beware of construction causing some bus stops to be shifted like Slussen). Do a walking tour when you arrive, good to set the scene. Skansen was awesome - loads to see especially all the animals (bears, wolverines, Lynx, owls and farm yard animals. The Vasa Museum is a must (a 400 year old ship recovered from the bottom of the harbour and on full display and it is huge). just explore the different parts of the city on foot. it's a beautiful place. 3 days (4 mights) minimum. add an extra day to see Uppsala (the old capital) about 90 mins north of Stockholm.

Stockholm is a fantastic vibrant city with a powerful history and beautiful city scenery. Walking around feels safe and very easy to navigate through. Stockholm is a lovely city- very clean, offering lots of amenities, an excellent transportation system which we utilized almost exclusively, and lots of interesting attractions. Something for everyone as the saying goes. We were here at the end of "the season", just before fall, but except for a bit of rain it was comfortable and lovely. Earlier in September by a week or so might have been good, but the crowds were certainly less at this time. Lots to discover here- from great museums to boat rides out on the harbor, very nice shops, and excellent food everywhere.

Love Stockholm, love Sweden. It was the perfect antithesis of all that ails America presently. I could easily stay indefinitely, perhaps with a winter sun break. It’s not flashy. It’s elegant and sophisticated.

Way better than expected! I have stayed in a number of places in Stockholm but in comparison to price/worth ratio, this is easily one of the best. The location is basically at Slussen station, in the hotel you can use washing automat and ironing room, there are tea and coffee for a small fee in the communal area. Thought there is ongoing construction on Slussen, nothing is heard in the hotel. The room is freshly renovated, with all necessities inside.

Beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast. Perfect for those who enjoy museums and fresh air. Friendly staff. Excellent transportation with busses, trams and the very scenic commuter boats. There are nice restaurants around but not as many as in the absolute city centre. Within a ~ 5 minute walk there are 7 of Stockholm's best museums. Wasa ship, Viking, Wreck, Liljevalchs art, Skansen and ABBA museum.
