Extraordinary welcome by the hosts. The small space is well planned out and modern. A huge plus was the big backyard with trampoline, swings, climbing frame, etc. With two young kids in tow, this was a godsend. Astrid Lindgren's World is the best place to visit if you...

Astrid Lindgren's World is the best place to visit if you are a family with children. The actors are incredible and the whole place is just gold! The town is otherwise small and there are no shops in the core center at all. But the square is still nice with places for children to play.

Perfect location at a very good price, about 20 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's Road and the man who runs the accommodation was very nice and welcoming, so I can highly recommend this place, so we will definitely come back.

+ Most comfortable hotel bed I've experienced in a long time + Lovely to be able to have dinner on the outdoor terrace while the child could play on the large playground right outside. - The food in the restaurant did not meet my expectations. Having said that, I would still like to point out that what we ordered tasted good. And the child ate a lot of the children's buffet.

A charming little town where you'll find your Astrid...

A charming little town where you'll find your Astrid Lindgren image of Sweden perfectly reflected. We wanted to, and were able to, avoid the crowds at Astrid Lindgren's World. It's located outside the town, and we were there without children. The train journey to and from Vimmerby was very pleasant and relaxing.

It's very close to Astrid Lindgrens Värld and Näs, i.e. in walking distance, and you can reach the center of Vimmerby easily. The staff was very nice. It was no problem to extend the stay by another day. This is probably different in the high season. Even in the low season on Friday and Saturday almost all cottages were occupied. We used the grill place a couple of times, which is nice in this complex. The cottages are not new anymore, but still good.

We only stayed there for one night passing through Vimmerby. Very friendly host Clean, family character Super ultra mega breakfast buffet. Cereal fresh baked bread fresh fruit jam self made smoothie for my daughter specially made... And plenty of tips for our further trip through Sweden Ahead again Ankis!

It was walking distance to the center as well as the train station/bus station. 3 mins train ride from vimmerby station to Astrid lingren world and super convenient.
