One night is the perfect amount of time for this visit. Pick up and boat trip around the sights was relaxing and enjoyable with Moi who was very accommodating. We had our long boat to ourselves and were grateful not to be on the packed tourist ones! We had a beautiful buffet lunch in the restaurant. Slept well. Had a simple yet efficient breakfast. Then a tour back to the pier.

Spotlessly clean, very spacious and so peaceful! I’d read reviews so knew about the hard mattress, so we took our mattress topper with us and had two very cosy, comfortable nights’ sleep. The owners were very kind and helpful despite them not speaking English and us not speaking Thai. Nice to wake up so close to nature. There was a banana tree right next to the little balcony at the back. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

The place is like hidden gem in a small fishing village. Khanitta and her husband offer many wonderful tours for a reasonable price so you are never bored. In the morning you can choose from multiple breakfast options and if you want the same applies for dinner too. The mangrove hut has everything you could need, even a mini bar. All in all the best stay we’ve had.

At the beginning the location may seem a lil bit off the beaten path and difficult to move around for the backpackers, but give it a try and you will be rewarded with amazing and relaxing time. The lake view cottage was clean and very comfortable. The owner Mr Bang is great - he borrowed us his fishing rod, checked the bus timing, brought some fruits etc. Soak up into this tiny village as the community there is lovely and they are the nicest and most genuine people we met in Thailand. They will share with you the 1000 smiles, make sure you go right direction or just give you the ride, give some shrimps for your fishing bait, proudly show their daily crab catch if they spot you in the kayak. Do not miss the neighbor pancakes restaurant (ca 1km walking), fisherman village and kayaking in mangrove forest. There were not so many mosquitos as people say. Just keep your door closed when the light is on and you will be really fine ;)

Koh Panyee is worth to visit.

Koh Panyee is worth to visit. There are a lot of tours from Phuket, or from Krabi, which are not so cheap, and they stops in this island only a half hour. If you want to stay a longer time, you can buy a private boat from Tha Dan pier, or there is a local boat between about 9am-4pm. This is the cheapest one, it cost only 50-150 baht for one way. There is a hotel in the island. After 6pm no tourists in Koh Panyee, only a few people, who staying this hotel. The restaurants use touristic prices, no food under 200-250 baht.
