Breakfasts were generous, varied and tasty. Our hostesses were friendly and very helpful in facilitating our sight seeing. One host speaks excellent English too. The location is picturesque and affords the opportunity for relaxing rural walks. The other guests also seemed to be having a good time, and were in the area for various reasons. While we got there fine by public transport+local taxi, it's probably best to have a car to stay at this B+B.

The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Chiayi station. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful, including assisting with taxis or other transportation. The rooms, restaurant and public areas are spotlessly clean and modern. The wifi is good and there are a few Western tv channels including BBC News. The room had its own iron and ironing board, hair dryer, kettle, mini fridge and desk space. The balcony is a nice change from sealed-in rooms. The lobby has 24-hour coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. The coffee is the nicest I had in Taiwan! The ground floor also has free soft-serve ice cream! Breakfast is pretty extensive with plenty of Western and Taiwanese options. One of the best hotels we booked in Taiwan.

The staffs were extremely helpful and friendly! They answered all my questions. The hotel is located right next to the south national palace museum. The hotel offers many kids friendly activities.

We were looking for a place near Chiayi train station to take a morning ride to Alishan Forest Railway. There are several hotels to choose from, but Mega Hotel definitely seems one of the better ones with great facilities, good design, excellent restaurant and very friendly staff. Our modern room was just beautiful, bed very comfortable. Famous Chiayi night market is a short walk away. Traditional Taiwanese breakfast at the hotel was a nice touch – artistically arranged, full of surprising taste experiences. The hotel staff was very accommodating - helping with early check-in and also letting us leave our bags at the reception after check-out until we returned from the Forest Train in the evening.

- great location: it is not far away from the train station and there is a bus stop to Alishan Forest just outside. Furthermore it is very near to a nice night market - personnel was nice - breakfast: western style, they have toast with jelly, peanut butter and chocolate and coffee/ milk which was enough for me. They also have fruits and Asian breakfast
