This accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Firstly, it was my first time to Alishan and I had many queries which the host was very responsive to answer all of them. She was very kind to help my family to arrange transport to pick us up from Chiayi HSR and got the driver to tour us around Alishan. Secondly, the views from the room were incredible. Thirdly, we enjoyed our showers daily due to the high water pressure. To add on, the beds provided in both rooms were very comfortable. Lastly, the common area was very clean and great place for us to have our take-out meals. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely stay at this very same place in the future.

The property’s design is great, the photos here don’t do it justice. For sure it would have been easier by car, but we found it quite easily even traveling by bus. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. Eryanping trail is walking distance. You need to organise for dinner if you’re on foot because there isn’t much in the area, but the host is super friendly and welcoming and helpful. Also: by far the best breakfast we had during our 20 day trip in Taiwan. I’m gluten intolerant and this was an issue for many hosts, but she made us a super tasty congee that was just perfect. I will definitely recommend this spot to others traveling in Taiwan!

We loved our stay at Siangting. The owner was super nice. He picked us up from the bus station, we got to taste some of his tea and had a very nice room with a fantastic view. The breakfast included is very tasty and may be enjoyed outside with a view. The owner was very helpful and despite the language barrier we got to chat with him for a while via Translator app. The hotel is located within the tea farms, there are several hiking tracks nearby and it is close to Alishan Nationalpark which is accessible via bus.
