There is so much to say about this lovely hotel! The staff members are incredibly kind and always available to assist whenever you need them. They decorated our room for my fiancé’s birthday surprise and even offered us a small bento cake. It was so cute! Regarding the location, the hotel is only about 35 minutes from the airport and close to Paje, but it’s a bit far from the northern part of the island. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and offer a beautiful view of the pool and the beach — especially the Mafia 1 room. The food was delicious, and the scent inside the rooms was simply divine. I was in love with it! Even our clothes came back from the laundry smelling amazing. The spa is cute, and the massage was relaxing — I truly recommend it. The ladies there really know what they’re doing!

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property for one night, and it was exactly what I needed. Everything was great. The location, the room, the pool, the breakfast. In our two months in Zanzibar we’ve been all over the island and this is truly one of the best places we’ve been to. the staff is very involved, which means that the accommodation is well maintained and everything runs smoothly. Hope it stays that way, so I can come back some day! They have lovely dogs too by the way :)

The room was clean and spacious… We booked the Royal suite with a Jacuzzi with my friends, I recommend it!!…Its has 100% unobstructed sea views, as they described it… Their swimming pools are clean and hygienic… The live band during dinner time, so amazing!! Best place to celebrate your birthday, just make sure you mention to them … All in all , the pictures dont lie… Staff members so helpful and polite, under the management of Mr Ally…

Pongwe Beach Hotel is embedded in a beautiful tropical garden and situated right at the beach. We‘ve loved its secluded location, the beach is not accessible during high tide and that means that you don‘t get bothered by beach boys as much (rarely ever, to be honest). We‘ve had a beach front room that was literally a stone‘s throw away from the beach, it couldn‘t have been any more convenient! The room was spacious and spotless, also our 14yr old daughter had a full single bed to use. The turn down service in the evening is something you don‘t usually see in that category, so we were pleasantly surprised. Another nice touch is the option to order early morning coffee / tea, that gets quietly delivered to your terrace from 07:00 am onwards, so as an early bird you can enjoy your first cup of coffee on the daybed of your room terrace and enjoy the wonderful beach view whilst others are still sleeping. We‘ve booked half board and were not disappointed - the menu was very diverse, each day you could choose between meat / fish / vegetarian options for your main course. There‘s a buffet twice a week as well, plus evening entertainment on 2 days, we‘ve enjoyed both very much! The staff is most welcoming and attentive, no matter if housekeeping, restaurant, reception….as a guest you feel your presence is appreciated and every wish is taken care of. I usually never book 3-star hotels, but with this one got tempted because of its exceptional reviews - and they are all true, so can highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

My stay at Golden Nap hostel was perfect. It exceeded all my previous hostel experiences The room is spacious and clean. Newly renovated and decorated with all comfort. Golden Nap is located right in the center of beautiful Stone Town, close to all tourist attractions and in the middle of the cosy and historical little streets of the city, which instantly gives a local vibe The hostel is locally owned - which is a plus! What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.
