We were very impressed by Hotel Amaranth. The hotel is very close to the Mbezi bus station which was extremely convenient for our journey to the Usambara Mountains. The hotel kindly reserved our bus tickets for us, provided a free bus transfer to the station and prepared us all a packed breakfast to take with us, even though our bus was at 5:30am! The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the on-site restaurant was lovely.

We really liked the location. We could walk to the Milmani Shopping City within 5 min. The 1 bedroom house was well equipped. We used the stove to heat up our food. The air con worked well and we had a big fridge to store our drinks. Jane and Jacqueline were great hosts. The wifi there were in progress of set up but it doesn't matter to us as we had our own pocket wifi. Clean towels were provided. We think you should bring your toiletries if you stay here. We will definitely go back there to stay again. It is like a second home for us in Dar as we stay in Zanzibar.

What I like about this property is that it doesn’t follow the local service standards so you can have accessibility to very good facilities. Great breakfast very clean. I have sit in many hotels in Dar and this is definitely the only one that I would say it didn’t disappoint.
