AVO Boutique Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. A laid back vibe and fantastic staff. Nothing fancy or pretentious but everything you need. Great food, great drinks, great value for your money. The owner personally takes care of you and anything you might need. Super communication. Great advice. Well located for what we wanted.

It’s Kids friendly, they have variety of facilities, the pool is amazing, they have rooms with private pools. Everything in the facility is brand new and state of the art. The plantation around the facility makes the walkways unbelievable. The staff are super friendly and are working around the clock. There is Nannie’s to look after the kids with reasonable price and they are trustworthy. The staff are neat and clean. The place is constantly decorated, the furniture in the rooms are outstanding. They have lots of variety when it comes to food. And they can designate the chef to cater for your need of what you like to eat, especially if it’s not inclusive in the buffet. The recreational facility arranges all type of tours such as Safaris, quart riding, going to the turtles, snookling, horse riding in the beach, kayaking, and many many more. There is an also a facility of being massaged by the beach.

My stay at Karibu Beach Resort was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean – it felt like a true retreat. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking view of the beach. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of the waves and the sight of the golden, sun-kissed sand stretching out before me. The beach itself was stunning, with soft, white sand that made it the perfect place to relax or take a leisurely stroll. The resort's food was a delightful experience. Every meal was a treat, especially the breakfast, which was a feast of fresh, flavorful dishes to start the day right. But the most memorable meal had to be the romantic dinner on the beach. Dining with the sound of the waves in the background, the stars above, and delicious food right at our table – it truly was an experience I’ll never forget. If you're looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway, Karibu Beach Resort is the place to be. With its perfect blend of beauty, comfort, and amazing service, it’s a true slice of paradise. Absolutely unbelievable! They did everything possible for us. It was the best holiday from our life and we are a simple couple that visited before almost 30 countries. The chefs are cooking diverse and they made us to love things that we tried before and we didn’t like. The place is integrated so well in the nature, you don’t need to visit Jordani forest because resort has everything that is there. Location super good, also you can count each time on their recommendations. They knew to create super romantic dinner for us and for my birthday they exceeded any expectations. 11 stars experience. We just hope we were good tourists for them because they were making a simple holiday to be the honeymoon that everyone desire. PS Super safety resort.

Beautiful authentic hotel, with an amazing private beach that looks like it was taken out of a postcard. Thanks to the bay, the low tide was soft, relatively to the east and south sides of Zanzibar. Great restaurant with a beautiful view and varied food. The hotel highlight in our opinion was the staff - always kind and smiling, willing to help with any request.

This place has a great no shoes policy and although there is a new fancy pants hotel not far away pongwe Bay resort is the real deal....authentic rooms and gorgeous thatched bungalows with all the mod cons which let you know you are in exotic zanzibar (not like the 'swish but you could be anywhere new places). Gardens are beautiful and all the staff are simply delightful

The property is sprawling with a gorgeous beach and plenty of lush gardens. We booked a junior suite which was really spacious with the most enormous comfortable bed. We had a few issues but they were quickly resolved and we had amazing meals at the a la carte restaurants. I have to mention ‘Wok’ which was faultless and I would go back just to dine there. We also had a romantic beach dinner which was lovely. The water-sports centre is well equipped and we learnt to paddle board, we played lots of pool and we also played tennis every day. The court does need resurfacing but it is fine for a knock about. We would definitely go back there.
