I will always keep this place in my heart. 3 nights here released 2 years of stress on my shoulders. Serenity, astonishing views, jungles, animals, sunrises, sunsets, amazing food. The bungalow is spacious, spotlessly clean, brand new, where luxury meets rustic and bonds you with nature. Watching monkeys playing on baobab branches from the terrace of our bungalow was just mind-blowing. Mtende beach is like from sci-fi movies, just unbelievable, one of the most memorable and remarkable places I’ve visited on this planet. All this is possible thanks to the hospitality of Jeff and Suzi, who went above and beyond to provide the best experience of our stay in Zanzibar. We stayed on 6 beaches in Zanzibar, 9 accommodations, and this was the best place.

Fantastic place, vey airy, gigantic room, lots of space in common areas, super nice swimming pool, electricity 24/7 (thanks to solar panel), owner/manager is on site and a very nice fellow. Food at the restaurant is very tasty at excellent price. In my opinion this is the best place around (and excellent value for money)

Kizikula is nothing short of magical. The design throughout the entire property is intentional and beautifully thought-out, from the elegant rooms to the stunning pool. Every detail has been carefully considered, creating a space that feels both luxurious and inviting. The food is delicious—every meal felt like a treat. The size of the property makes it feel personal, and it’s so well looked after. The team made our stay unforgettable. Shaib is the best barman and barista, making every drink and coffee with such care. Norice gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel at home right away. Enoch always greeted us with a big smile, and Mary took such good care of us the whole time. The entire place is impeccably maintained, showcasing the care and pride that goes into every corner of Kizikula. This is more than a stay—it’s an experience, and I can’t wait to return!

It’s a really nice off the grid place. The Maasai Warriors work to serve food for breakfast and other meals which is very authentic. it’s a very nice location with walking distance to other beaches where you can do scuba diving and just enjoy the local vibe. The local food is very nice and breakfast is good.

My stay at Clove Island in Zanzibar was absolutely exceptional. The hotel is located right on the shoreline of the ocean, offering unforgettable views and easy access to a beautiful beach. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with an impressive level of cleanliness. However, the biggest highlight is the staff – warm, helpful, and always smiling. It’s a place I would gladly return to!

What makes Palmera so special is its inspiring mission. The hotel and restaurant operate as a hospitality school for local young women, and the exceptional service they provide is a direct reflection of their training. From their warm smiles to their impeccable attention to detail, you can feel the genuine pride they take in their work. The hotel's setting is pure paradise. The infinity pool overlooking the turquoise sea is mesmerizing, and the lush, immaculately kept gardens create a perfect oasis for relaxation. It was wonderful to be able to walk barefoot through the fine sand and simply enjoy the tranquility. For anyone, but especially for vegans, the restaurant is a must-visit. The creative and delicious vegan dishes, all beautifully prepared and presented by the talented students, were a true highlight. It's a testament to the high-quality training they are receiving. The breakfast, in particular, was the best I had during my three-week stay in Tanzania, the homemade warm bread and homemade chocolate spread were unforgettable. For lunch and dinner, with main courses priced between $11 and $13, it offers exceptional value. This 15-room hotel is a quiet retreat. I stayed when it was almost empty and had no issues with noise, but even when full, the large garden and pool area should provide plenty of space for guests. The price range for double rooms in the 2025 high season was 70-100 USD. All rooms face the sea, though the view can be a bit limited from some of the downstairs rooms. While the large windows are beautiful, the curtains don’t fully cover them, which could be a privacy concern for some. I prefer a firm mattress, and the bed was perfect for me, but it might be a bit too hard for others. The solar-powered hot water worked flawlessly. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy on the last kilometer, but there are plans to improve it. In the bathrooms, I would have appreciated a bit more space to dry towels, or a drying rack on the terrace.

The location is beautiful - it’s the last hotel on the road, there was almost nobody at the beach, and the hotel itself is also really nice (small houses with decent amount of space and privacy) The staff is extremely friendly, special shoutout to Kassim that made the great experience - from serving exceptional food and drinks to fully organising and guiding additional tours in reasonable prices and with great fun. Thank you Kassim!!!

This is a lovely Little place. The managerres go out of her way to help. It has a great pool and is quite. It feels like home. We can highly recommend this small family hotel.It is only 5min walk to the beach. Thank you we realy enjoyed our stay
