We loved visiting the Edge of the Cedars Museum, State Park.

We loved visiting the Edge of the Cedars Museum, State Park. It's beautifully done with many ancestral artifacts, plus an actual ruin with a Kiva that you can climb down into. It's definitely worth taking an hour or so out of your journey to see.

The area around Blanding is beautiful and unique. There’s lots to see if you’re into history and unique scenery. Be sure to have a pickup or SUV with good clearance and awd/4wd for the best experience traveling around there.

I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding.

I am sorry that I stopped in Blanding. The town offers nothing worthwhile. The motel was overpriced and the only decent restaurant in town was laughable. We fueled up in town before leaving the next morning and twenty miles down the road, gas was almost $.30 a gallon cheaper. I wish we had driven the extra 100 miles to Kayenta, AZ.

There was only one real restaurant in town, a Steakhouse) and we ended up eating at the only other place that wasn’t Subway (we had just eaten at a Subway for lunch). It was an A&W-Gas Station-Bowling Alley! After driving all around Blanding we could not figure out why anyone would want to live there—was unaware any amenities existed.

It's a small town, so if you get there on Sunday the only place to eat is a Subway...but it's a nice one. They were super friendly and the food was perfect. It's quiet and we like stopping off there on our way to Arizona. You will enjoy your stay I'm sure!!

So much to do in the area – Hovenweep, Bluff, as well as Blanding. In Blanding, do you go to the ancient peoples museum( Sorry I can’t think of the name of it right now.) If you need to grocery shop, I was sent to a bowling alley by my search online… It was a small bowling alley and a like a quick shop you know like at a gas station and an A&W all in one it was not a grocery store. So then I found clark Which is not bad small but it’s a small town. I was disappointed that they had no coffee beans. They had ground coffee, but no beans. I should have driven off it and mine at home lol

The Stone Lizard has thee BEST breakfast of any hotel we stayed at during our long road trip. The lovely Teagen greeted us upon arrival. Our room was excellent. We had a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and even a bit of an outdoor area. We were amazed to find the kitchen full not just of condiments but also of different food items. The Stone Lizard is a picturesque out-of-the way boutique hotel that I would highly recommend.

Great value, clean and comfortable, "authentically vintage" but well-maintained, friendly manager. The cheapest but in so many ways the nicest place we stayed on our entire S Utah trip. Would certainly stay again. The free breakfast was simple (alternatives elsewhere in Blanding), but the orange juice was great!

There is a limited selection of motels in a small town such as Blanding and, having stayed in others, this is probably as good a choice as any.
