We have heard Blue Ridge area is so beautiful this time of...
We have heard Blue Ridge area is so beautiful this time of the year. It is. just that Our visit was last minute that we haven't enjoyed as we should have. for example, we missed all train rides (GA and TN side) which is big deal if you wanted to enjoy the scenery. There are 4hrs, 2Hrs, and Full day rides. We recommend to get your tickets way early if you plan a sept/oct visit. We enjoyed the drive in movie at Swan. We drove to Mcayville instead, great shops for artifacts. Dinner at Circle J was great. We enjoyed the trail around blue ridge lake and the lake looked marvelous with that sunny day. Kids didn't want to leave : -) Next visit we plan better with secluded cabin, train rides, boats, al 9 yards.Guest review byTesfayeUnited States - 10.0
I enjoyed Blue Ridge very much.
I enjoyed Blue Ridge very much. It's quaint and cozy at the same time. We didn't expect to lose cellphone service when we were touring around because we needed our GPS but we had someone with us that had a good sense of direction. My only disappointment was seeing the trees hadn't changed colors yet. I was so ready to envision that sight.Guest review byRoma - 10.0
It was a good trip.
It was a good trip. Rode the train to McKaysville/Copper Hill. Comfy seats, attentive train staff. Prepared for rain but it held off. Parked in the free parking spaces right after the court house. Ate supper at the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant. I had the smoked trout, it was great. My wife had blackened trout, it must have been good as when she was finished it looked like a school of piranhas had been at it. We only stayed one night but we've stayed longer before and had a great time then too. A good trip though our GPS wasn't working correctly for some reason. Blue Ridge, GA is central to lots of activities and sites in the area. Many things are not in Blue Ridge, just like all surrounding communities, but Blue Ridge felt "central" to it all. Great hiking, fun wineries, shopping, white water rafting, tubing, lakes, parks, etc. It's a great hub, close to dining options and all the things we wanted to do.Guest review byDroflowUnited States - 10.0

One of North Georgia's best locations to just "slow down and relax". Main street in downtown offers a wide variety of shopping and dining options - though most places close at 9 pm - so if your looking for late night dining options you'll be limited.
