Farsheed helped me in real-time by phone to navigate to his location as I had arrived after dark. It was a tremendous help and a relief that he literally walked me through the driving directions to his address, staying on the phone with me until I arrived, exhausted. Very grateful that he went above and beyond the norm to welcome me in that way.

Unique place for us to stay which gave us fantastic experience to hide within the nature and let us to relax after some time spent in Honolulu. Enclave. No close neighbors. Only sleeping room with walls, other parts of facility (kitchen, toilet, shower) opened to the nature. Early morning and evening birds and night singing of the frogs could be too noisy for some people but this is the “price” of being so close to the nature. A place which we definitely consider to return in the future!

Our stay at the Kona Resort was absolutely outstanding and truly one of the highlights of our Big Island trip. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a thoughtful Santa Claus greeting, which created such a magical and unforgettable memory for my daughter. We were also pleasantly surprised by a complimentary upgrade from a double queen room to a suite. The room was amazing spacious, beautifully designed, and conveniently located right next to the pool, which made everything so easy with a child. The pool area deserves special praise. The water slide was a big hit, and the pool itself was fantastic. One detail we truly appreciated was the use of large grain sand around the pool area. It was extremely thoughtful the sand did not stick to our child’s hair or get into clothing, which made the experience much more comfortable and stress free for families. The water quality was excellent, very clean, comfortable, and without the strong chemical smell you often find in pools. It felt safe and gentle for children, which gave us great peace of mind. One of the most practical and appreciated amenities was the washer and dryer on site. After beach and pool activities, having easy access to laundry made a huge difference and added so much convenience to our stay. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations from the service, to the facilities, to the thoughtful details. This was a perfect stay, and we would absolutely return and recommend this resort to other families without hesitation. Full marks!

The facilities are fantastic and staffs are super warm. Our room was updated to two bedrooms given we have a child together with us. The view is amazing and very convenient location, there’s a market just opposite the road and only 10 mins drive to Kona downtown.

Captain Cook is a spread-out sort of a place so it's difficult to characterise. There is an excellent pizza place there and a couple of other restaurants plus a supermarket and gas station. You can get down to the coast, but it's a steep walk. The coastline down there is beautiful.

Further away from the hustle & bustle of Kona, but has great little restaurants and a nice grocery store. It is a great little rather laid back town with historic places and good snorkeling/ swimming on quite a few beaches within 5- 10 miles.

Captain Cook is a lovely area - but don't count on actual beaches as in lots of sand! There is lava everywhere and people simply snorkel or body surf around it. There are a couple of small pockets of sand. Check out the cloud forest up in the hills, simply a hiking area that may mist more often than lower down. I've heard you can see sea turtles and dophins if you go early enough down to the bay, but otherwise there's a much nicer place to view the turtles, at least, north of the Kona airport, and at any time of day. The only long beach is by a hotel north of the airport. And anywhere on the Big Island, there is lava! So.Much.Lava!

The house is just amazing. Clean, tidy, warm and welcoming vibe. The garden is lovely, flowery and puts you truly at peace with the world. The view is also amazing! It is perfect if you want to stay away from very touristic areas but still be able to access main hiking/beaches as it is near some spectacular beaches. The host, Kabira, is sooo lovely and sweet, very helpful and caring. Super good vibe from her as well and I loved also her three cats that were coming downstairs to say hello from time to time.

A wonderful stay, with fantastic hosts. Such a friendly welcome in an oasis of calm. A little way from Kona for those wanting to hit the town, but for us very worthwhile. Thanks to Ping, Stanley and Max for welcoming us into their home.
