The Candlewood Suites offer more than just your average room with a few packs of coffee. It was a large spacious room like a studio apartment. There is a full kitchenette that even includes a dishwasher and cookware. This would be a great hotel for prolonged stays. Too bad we just had a quick one night stopover before heading off to our destination in Philadelphia.

The staff is very friendly, they treated us very well from the moment we arrived. They treated our baby very well. We had a little problem with the TV remote control and they kindly sent a guy who came and helped us and he was very kind too. Very good breakfast. Our 2 year old baby enjoyed it very much. It is a pleasure to have spent this stay here, I would repeat it again.

    Horsehead/Elmira this was a great stay and convenient.

    Horsehead/Elmira this was a great stay and convenient. Would recommend Picks Pub for a nice drink and some friendly locals. Corning Museum was nice and great demonstrations and deals on products. I would recommend to reservation to create your own. (I did not do this.) Tanglewood Nature center was great and has great exhibits.

    This is a stop over for us as we travel to NH from IN by...

    This is a stop over for us as we travel to NH from IN by taking the NY southern route. We like that it has plenty of shops and restaurants for us to grab something for dinner and head back on the road the next morning. We have read up on the history of the area, which is interesting, but don't go sight seeing since we just use it as a quick overnight before our next day travels.

    I was visiting family so I may be biased.

    I was visiting family so I may be biased. Harris hill is beautiful! It's easy to get around. Plenty of hotels off the highway. I only wish I choose a better one. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Arnot mall was disappointing, lots of vacancies, but there is other shopping nearby.

    It’s a very beautiful place and easy to get around in.

    It’s a very beautiful place and easy to get around in. Loved the lakes and Harris Hill we also drove to Niagara Falls for the day. All the restaurants are great and Pudgie’s Pizza is the best Pizza around. Tag’s Restaurant and Bar is a great place to eat and look at the biggest collection of Guitars I’ve ever seen.

    Horseheads itself is a suburb of Elmira. It is an excellent residential location and it's where people live in comfortable homes. It is minutes away from excellent shopping, restaurants, and medical facilities.

    The cookies were delicious at the hotel.

    The cookies were delicious at the hotel. I would not recommend anyone staying in that hotel nor would I ever stay in that hotel ever again. The management stinks the toilet leaked they told me to put a towel around it I did I tripped and I fell bruised my left baby toe.told management they had no remorse they never said they were sorry they never moved us to another room and we spent two nights.the towels we were told to put in the towels in the hall when we use them and they would give us clean ones they didn’t have any clean towels when we ask.Our key cards never worked we always had to have them activated over and over again. Very dissatisfied never again will I stayed there nor will I ever recommend it

    We booked a suite which was a reasonable size for a family of four and very comfortable. The room was clean to a fair standard and the bathroom was VERY clean. I agree with other reviewers that it could be a bit better- the furniture needs moving to give it a better vacuum. Having seen a previous google review about bed bugs we thoroughly checked the room (as we always do in any hotel) and there was no evidence of any. Breakfast staff really friendly and there was enough choice for all of us.

    Room was a good size and decor and fittings in good order - recently renovated by the looks of it in the last year or so. Hotel was quiet. Good for parking, this is charged for separately, surprisingly. Eateries aplenty including Outback Steakhouse across the road
