The property is beautiful. Our room was a great size and contained all we could ask for. The bed was super comfy and everything was clean. We found the staff to be very friendly. The one miss for the property is the lack of anti-slip strips or a grab bar in the bath/shower combo. I would hate for someone to fall.

Loved everything. Small boutique hotel. Quiet, quaint, super comfortable. Staff are all amazing. Location is perfect - on a quiet street, just a block away from a great little beach cove, and 15 min walk to town. Really loved everything about our stay.

Our room was the best we have stayed in in the USA (we have stayed in many). It was spacious with a great bathroom, television and microwave as well as a variety of coffees and small fridge for food items. The room catches the winter sun which was beautiful in the afternoon and supplied solar heating for the evening (no need to us the heater). The hotel has the best of all worlds - a beautiful scenic lookout and beach to the West, mountain tracks to the East, shopping to the North and South. The staff at the hotel are the nicest we have come across - so down to earth, friendly and ready to help. This review may sound like we are friends but no, we are from Australia and are just really impressed and appreciative.

A really nice spot, it has a beautiful view and the room was very comfortable, you can hear the waves while you are sleeping and the fireplace its very convenient at night. I think a boutique hotel is the best choice if you want a memorable experience. Last but not least, the staff was exceptional, very kind people. Thank you

Very aesthetic hotel with beautiful plants and decor throughout! Kind staff- everyone we interacted with was so helpful and made us feel well-attended to! The rooms were spotless and I’m glad they had hardwood floors because they’re so much cleaner than carpet. Definitely book the ocean view rooms— great views and you can sleep with the balcony door open to hear the waves.

    Amazing city with lots of restaurants, shops, and gorgeous beach. AFter a wonderful dinner at Las Brisas, we went to the Pageant of the Masters which is so amazing. Love to go back in off season when its not so crowded, but in season one can take advantage of the trolley and avoid driving in the traffic. Parking is a big challenge in Laguna! Always a family favorite with lots of fond memories.

    Crescent Bay felt slightly secluded and really nice. Numerous shops and restaurants, though we enjoyed dinner at Driftwood Kitchen so much, we returned for breakfast (great pancakes, coffee and sausage)

    I will definitely stay at 14 West (North building) again.

    I will definitely stay at 14 West (North building) again. My favorite place for breakfast is Cafe Heidelberg, just down the street. For dinner, we love "230 Forest"... absolutely the best restaurant! Also great is Las Brisas. Reservations are a must, especially during the touristy season. Don't miss going to Crystal Cove State Park, a little north on PCH 1. Only down side about Laguna is that it has become quite popular and a bit touristy, but I still love it and will never stop going!

    We stayed at the art hotel in Laguna where you could walk or take the trolley to downtown/main beach. It was so much fun and we ate at a lot of good food places like the deck, las brisas and the taco stand. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive to either Newport or Dana point so it’s the perfect vacation location!

    The location was great, the hotel is a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach and we could even see the sea from our room. There is a lovely seating area although we didn’t get the chance to use it as we were only staying for one night and went out for dinner. The bathroom was also really nice, the shower was great and we loved the twin sinks. The shared fridge also had lots of different plant milks available which was amazing. Everything seemed clean and very safe, there’s a private car park as well which was great.

    We really enjoyed staying at the Tides!!! The location was the best!!! I loved the way the hotel was “hidden” from the main road by the huge green hedge. It allowed privacy for the beautiful pool!! The room was awesome! Having the little kitchenette was a major plus! We loved the comfy bed and the shower was big enough to move around in! Our time in Laguna Beach was fantastic, due in large part to our stay at The Tides!!

    The service was exceptional; Nick, Bachir, and Morgan went beyond and above to ensure our stay was comfortable. The hotel is located right on the beach. Our room was clean and spacious. We loved everything about this place and will definitely visit again. The hotel also offers free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate all day long, as well as a delicious breakfast in the morning.

    The receptionist was amazing: friendly with loads if great advice for the area. The location is perfect for exploring Laguna beach area and the room was well maintained and had everything I needed. It's a shame I didn't get to try the heated pool, it will have to wait for next time!
