Wilmington is not a big town.
Wilmington is not a big town. It is a lovely town, but you can walk it in a day. Split it into two. Enjoy the renovated riverside with its history, the Children's Museum and the great selection of restaurants and bars. Then enjoy a walking tout of the town. The architecture is amazingly diverse from the Quaker town hall to the ugly glass financial buildings. I Love Wilmington. This was my second visit this year. The location is amazing. The park, access to stores and restaurants. The Lake in walking distance. Very convenient location to stay at. FedEx right around the corner from the hotel. Restaurant right across the street from the hotel is very nice and have a lot of choice for eating. I live in Wilmington and my wife and I stayed at the Doubletree just to get a night away from the kids. There are nice places to stay in Wilmington.
