This is a beautiful well kept secret. It’s out of the way, so nice and quiet, but easy to walk to downtown Winthrop. We chose the Raven A room in case the weather was inclement, but even when the weather was good, we couldn’t wait to get back and enjoy watching the deer from our balcony where we ate breakfast and dinner. It is such a comfortable beautiful well decorated clean room with a huge bathroom. We met the owner in the afternoons who advised us on great walks and every time we saw her, she asked if there’s anything we needed, which, of course, there wasn’t.

Stayed one night in lodge and one night in a cabin. Loved both of them. Cabin was awesome with hot tub and rooms were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Special shot out to Kelcey (GM of the property) as she made our stay extra special with upgrade. Will definitely visit and stay here again

Very friendly and nice stuff, they let us check-in two hours earlier. Table and microwave in the room were really nice as well as coffee maker with good coffee. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, yogurt, fresh waffles, fruit, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice. We could leave our backpacks in after check out. Overall a great place to stay for very reasonable price :)

I always enjoy passing through Winthrop...it is a small town...

I always enjoy passing through Winthrop...it is a small town with touristy shops and a small river running through it. Also, there is the lake just outside of town. Some of my ancestors lived here, so I spent time here as a child.

Winthrop is a cute little western town!

Winthrop is a cute little western town! We got lucky and happened upon Steak Special Night at 3 Fingered Jacks Saloon, perfect after a long day of hiking! Shari’s ice cream was delicious for dessert. Great little spot.

Winthrop is the Disneyland of North Central Washington.

Winthrop is the Disneyland of North Central Washington. Its a beautiful area with bountiful opportunities for outdoor recreation. It is however lacking in services. Many of the restaurants closed during covid and have not reopened. It is a five hour drive from Seattle and an hour to the nearest town with convenient services, so plan ahead.

The review of the Rio Vista Hotel I submitted to be posted was answered by the hotel but was not entirely accurate. Our toilet never worked right. We did get a reply from management 30 minutes after posting the review online with an offer to refund 20% of one room for the last night. This was a nice gesture but seemed inadequate for one night that completely disturbed two couples.

I have 3 generations of family in the area.

I have 3 generations of family in the area. We rode our Harley's there so we could explore the roads ect. .No matter how much you love your family, it's nice to come back to a nice quiet room and jump in the pool or hot tub. There was other people to visit with that were interesting

Winthrop is a small town that expects and welcomes visitors. It feels real, not superficial and touristy. We walked a short 5 minutes to a pizza place that was fun and had great service and a very good pizza.

Abby Creek is a very nice hotel. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds run down to the Methow River and the motel has created a parklike setting along the riverfront. The location is on Route 20, maybe a mile east of downtown Winthrop. I like the location because downtown has heavy traffic at times so it is more comfortable for me staying out of the center of town. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again.
