These cottages are absolutely suburb! We loved the sweet little path to the cottage (many birds and red duikers to spot), the comfy beds, great kitchenette set-up and host who went above and beyond to make sure our kids also had a blast. The adjacent Delishh restaurant was simply the cherry on top!

The rooms were large and very comfortable. I loved how the mesh covering the windows let you leave the windows open to still enjoy the beautiful nature sounds. The facilities all around the lodge are incredible. The beautiful animals even came up to visit us some days. We feed Tuli the Tame Nyala and saw Pumbas wife with her little babies cruising around the lodge area. The staff go out of their way to make you feel like you are home and part of the family. Service and food is some of the best we have seen in the world and we are frequent travellers.

The exclusivity and small number of guests made it very intimate. The staff were amazing and Neil was an extremely confident and knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to make each game different from the last. The food was amazing as was the villa.

    There honestly isn't anything we didn't enjoy.

    There honestly isn't anything we didn't enjoy. The rooms accommodation was large, well kept, clean, and a great place to get away for a few days. The communication was great, the staff very helpful and if we needed anything, they were quick to assist.

    Wish we could have spent longer than 2 days at the Hluhluwe/...

    Wish we could have spent longer than 2 days at the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi park. Saw lots of animals and the watsapp group that helps you to see much more in the park. We had lunch at the Hilltop Restaurant which had a wide variety of food. It was easy to get around and the guides also stop to let us know any sightings.

    Just a gorgeous game park.

    Just a gorgeous game park. Saw a lioness; warthog, zebra, bush buck, one lone elephant, many other buck and a special beast who shall remain nameless. The rolling hills and bush was exquisite. highly recommend.

    Hluhluwe small town with so much to do to relax, you can go...

    Hluhluwe small town with so much to do to relax, you can go on a game drive, driving to the nearby beach 45 mins away, or relaxing at home. Tinswari lodge it is where I stayed, we enjoy intimate braai and swimming. Listening to nature sounds, relaxing to be close to nature create experience.

    We loved the accommodation.

    We loved the accommodation. It was huge filled with the most intersting African decor, beautiful. The vast outdoor veranda overlooking area with indigenous trees. The braai area with built in seating and fire pit was perfect. The pool area was a very special bonus.

    Lovely quiet situation but close enough to the town to get supplies. Good information provided on what to do in the area, though a little out of date in terms of prices. Complimentary braai charcoal and fire lighters provided. Plenty of parking, restaurant on site if you don't want to cook. Plenty of hot water for bathing and showering. Adequate emergency lighting provided for load shedding and also a gas top and kettle so you can still cook something or heat water for coffee. Facility cleaned every day.

    So peaceful, all the facilities for a relaxing, peaceful getaway in the bush. You have got to experience it to believe it. We booked for three nights but stayed for an extra two and would have stayed even longer if not for work commitments. Away from the hustle & bustle of the city but close enough to good restaurants and so many outdoor activities. Had an absolutely amazing day self-driving in the Hluhluwe National Park. Can’t speak highly enough of this lodge.
