We had an amazing visit. The tent was luxurious. Total.silence at night and the camp fire was massive. Completely felt alone in the South African Bush. You can walk for hours around the property. Henrick was a great host.

Such a beautiful lodge and a once in a lifetime experience. The staff was amazing, welcoming, caring and professional. We were so well taken care of, it felt like being over at granny’s. We even got ponchos, raincoats, water bottles, wake up calls. The rooms were always ready - curtains opened in the morning, closed at night, bed ready, a most friendly welcome note. We really just had to lay back. The rangers went above and beyond to find the big 5. We saw 4/5 (we only stayed for 1 safari day, the other guest saw 5/5 with the next morning ride). Really informative and pleasant safari rides, breakfast in the middle of the reserve included. The rooms / villas offered an incredible view with the all glass walls, they were huge and head everything from bathtub to fireplace. Food was amazing. What can I say - just experience it yourselves !!

Our time at Ndlovu was a magical experience that we will never forget. It was the team that made our trip truly special. April, our guide, was kind, thoughtful and incredibly knowledgeable - we are so grateful to him for all his efforts to give us the best possible experience. We saw everything we could have hoped for (elephants, lions, rhinos, hippos, etc), including a cheetah kill just metres away. This was a very rare and fantastic sight, and April made sure we were among the first in Welgevonden to see it. Peter’s food was outstanding - every single meal was beautiful, creative and delicious, even for the fussiest member of our party with limited dietary requirements. Our eland was cooked to perfection - we have never eaten so much because it was just so tasty. Zack (“Fish”) was always so friendly and helpful to us. He is a real asset to the Ndlovu team. Sanete is a warm and wonderful host who made us feel cared for and completely at home. She gave Emily a huge hug when she cried as we were leaving. The lodge itself is beautiful, with a real sense of comfort, style and African luxury. It is small but perfect, and everything from the landscaping to the bathrooms is exquisitely and thoughtfully designed. The rooms were peaceful, private and generously equipped, but less than a minute's walk from the other facilities. Each lodge has its own private pool and decked area, and there is also a lovely shared pool, deck and relaxation spaces for drinks, snacks and games. It is strange to think that a few days in an unfamiliar place could be a life-changing experience for two rather introverted people, but our stay at Ndlovu opened our eyes to the beauty of the world and the joy of meeting new people. We came home feeling adventurous, peaceful and happy. We made some wonderful friends, left with some treasured memories and keepsakes, and are planning to come back in January (it can't come soon enough). We’re missing Ndlovu and think of it every day.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Royal Morubisi Founders Lodge, and I must say it was an experience of a lifetime. This magnificent big 5 game reserve truly lives up to its reputation as a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I was captivated by the stunning beauty of the lodge and the remarkable wildlife encounters. The lodge itself is a masterpiece of architectural design, seamlessly blending with its natural surroundings. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the property, from the luxurious accommodations to the inviting communal areas. The lodges are spacious, elegantly furnished, and offer breathtaking views of the reserve. Each room is equipped with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. The heart of Royal Morubisi Founders Lodge lies in its commitment to conservation and preserving the natural habitat. The knowledgeable and passionate staff took great pride in sharing their extensive knowledge of the wildlife and ecosystems. The game drives led by expert guides were an absolute highlight. We embarked on thrilling safaris, where we had the privilege of observing the magnificent big 5 animals up close. The encounters with lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos were truly awe-inspiring and left an indelible mark on my soul. Apart from the game drives, the lodge offers various other activities to make the most of the natural wonders surrounding it. Guided bushwalks provided an opportunity to explore the reserve on foot, immersing ourselves in the sights, sounds, and scents of the African wilderness. The birdwatching opportunities were exceptional, with an array of colorful and rare species to be found. The dining experience at Royal Morubisi Founders Lodge was exceptional, surpassing all expectations. The talented chefs created delectable meals that showcased the flavors of the region, using locally sourced ingredients.
