The room was so comfortable and the staff were really accommodating. I even took my Small Dog, and the establishment is very pet friendly! I will be going back!

This B&B was a delight. The hosts St John and Cayleigh were personable, warm, attentive to our needs, and the standard of breakfasts was like a 1st class restaurant. Eating with a view of the garden, listening to the birds, in the pool room was a treat. The room had every comfort, and towels, coffee pods and milk in the fridge was topped up daily By friendly Makhosi and Doriga. Washing and ironing service was done with no fuss and extremely reasonably priced. We asked for one evening meal and received something simple but exceptional. You can see Cayleigh runs a successful restaurant! The whole venue was secure, with gated access, and we could come and go as we pleased. The gardens were a treat, so much so that’s we brought our good friend who loves gardens around for a walk around and a look. St John gave us a tour of the historic house, with all the stories of its Voortrekker origins. Although we were in Howick to sort some family business, and were thus very busy, we left feeling like we had had a holiday. I will definitely stay there again - winter (get the room with the open fire) or summer (the pool provides a refreshing swim in the evening). I have stayed in B&B’s and hotels all over the world, and this experience stands out as one of my favourites. Highly recommended.
