Loved that we had to wait for the giraffes to move before we could get down the driveway. So much wildlife around. Our hosts were super friendly and accommodating. The house was beautiful and spacious for the 4 of us. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything! The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy. It was easy to locate. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful and we felt safe even with all the animals roaming around freely. We had clear communication with the hosts. There are shops close by as well as a gas station. A restaurant around the corner if you don't feel like cooking. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and felt it was too short, so we will definitely be going back.

A hidden gem in Marloth. Everything was just perfect: the food (book diner, it is delicious and the setting is so romantic! ), the cottage :beautifully decorated and so comfortable, Linday who manages the lodge is the sweetest person I have ever met. She puts her heart and soul in what she does. I felt really special. A bonus is the animals you see roaming in the garden. During the evening we saw busbabbies (a very special sighting). Marloth itself is also much more than expected. You can walk or drive along the river and you see all the animals along the riverside (Kruger np is just next to Marloth)

A little slice of bush heaven tucked near the Kruger Park. The staff and volunteers were extremely kind and attentive and quickly make you feel part of the hostel community. Within a few hours of arriving we had visitors by the pool (zebras!). The hostel was extremely clean and well decorated. The pool was clean and great for when you need to cool down. There were different spaces to mingle with others or have some quiet time/do work if you wish. The tours were awesome - despite it being a scorcher of a day we saw a plethora of wildlife! The hostel doesn’t host too many guests, which creates an intimate feel and makes it easier to get to know everyone. By the end of the trip, you will feel like part of the hostel family. I hope to visit again and will recommend to friends! 🌻

An absolute hidden gem. Lovely room, beautifully decorated with all you need. Great for access to Kruger. Nicolette couldn’t do more for us even before we arrived, arranging game drives and transfers. Issac was absolutely amazing and so helpful during our stay. 1. Marloth Park is an excellent location to visit the Kruger National Park, with a short drive to the crocodile bridge. 2. Limited options in the way of restaurants and what is offered is not great. 3. Limited options for shopping for essentials. There is a SPAR, but if you catch it during the wrong time of day, prepare to que. 4. There is family run retail store called INGWE supermarket. Very friendly and I suggest trying the koeksisters. 5. BOMA Butchery is in the same shopping park and have a good selection of meats for the braai. 6. If at all possible, take everything with you in cooler boxes, especially the items you cannot live without as you may not find them. Overall Marloth park is simply an excellent gateway into the Kruger National Park.

Marloth Park is a great central spot for a weekend in the lowveld. It is tranquil, quiet, and makes you feel like you're slap-bang in the bush. Some of the properties are close to each other so you need to be mindful not to walk across private property. It is also not a place for partying or for loud noise so if you're looking to be festive it might not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a quiet breakaway in nature that's super close to the Kruger, then Marloth Park is your spot!

We love Marloth Park.

We love Marloth Park. Most of the accommodations we have stayed in have been very comfortable and good value for money. What we love most is being able to feed the many animals that visit the properties!

Friendly and down to earth people. Nice vibe!! Excellent for people seeking something different. If you love nature and animals this is a nice stay. Loads off other nature scenes and activities in surrounding area i.e. Kruger National. There is no shopping malls and luxuries so if you do prefer more to do or entertainment this is not suitable.

Staying in Marloth Park was an unforgettable escape — exactly what a bush getaway should feel like. Animals roam freely through the park … zebras, giraffes, warthogs, kudu — giving you that genuine safari feel without needing to go far.

The area we stayed in was quiet and safe.

The area we stayed in was quiet and safe. I liked that there were a few restaurants to choose from, even ones affordable to South Africans. The SPAR that did deliveries was a bonus. The local, permanent residents were super friendly and always ready to point out animals in the adjacent Kruger National Park. The roads off the main road are gravel, but if you drive slowly, it is easily managable. We bought a 40kg bag of pellets for the wildlife and enjoyed putting it out for them.

Loved everything about Ochre house. Marloth Park is an interesting resort community with grocery stores, restaurants, etc. 🦒🦓 Easy access to Kruger Park and has animals roaming around the community as well. 🐘🦌 Paul was there to greet us, he is a perfect host. We drove from Johannesburg using the suggested route and stop from Paul and it was awesome. Really enjoyed driving through the park to reach our accommodation. Loved the animals that come to the property.Highly recommend staying here!

Zac and Shirley where great hosts yet again they attended to our every need the only disappointment we had was the amount of animals that have been removed from marloth park and it meant less animals around the lodge .Also the Road leading to the lodge could do with some serious attention but they where the only things I could fault I will be back again

Lovely accomodation set in Marloth Park with close access to Kruger National Park. The staff are exceptional and make the stay feel even more special. Lots of animals roaming around and coming into the accomodation. We would definitely recommend the half board options the food cooked by the chef is excellent.

Neat, clean accommodation in the bush. House was well equipped with everything we needed for a self-catering holiday. Spacious enough for 4 people. Have stayed at other properties in Marloth Park and this is a gem, will definitely return.
