Simone and Morné are great hosts!! The place is beautiful, rooms are very nice, the garden and all the place is so cozy. We were so greatful for the fire they set outside everyday, there you can meet the other guests and share safari stories. Morné has lots of knowledge of wild life and conversations with him are so delightful and instructive. Simone will give you lots of information before you get there and she´ll take care of you as no one else can, besides she´s an excellent cook, her muffins are the best!! Food there is at a top level. The place is 25 minutes from Orpen gate but the fence of Kruger is right in front of the garden so you can listen to lions and hyenas at night. They organized a game drive for us and it was amazing. We wouldn´t doubt of coming back again!

So so great! Bongan is just such a warm and friendly person and often speaks to you as guest and has a high interest in your well-being. He is also eating together with you. We could book in addition an African dinner, which was so great. Furthermore, the accommodation ist super modern and clean and has much space in the room. Can 10/10 recommend and definitely follows “European standards” so to say. It has even two showers and two bathroom sinks. The accommodation is part of a sweet and small little African village, which makes the stay super authentic. We always felt very safe. Also the pool is very nice!

Staff made us feel welcome from arrival to us leaving. The pool and bar area was very comfortable and fitting for the African experience! The meals were delicious and plentiful! The mosquito nets over the beds were very welcomed! Having the wild life on the door step was lovely to see. Assistance from Jondre and his team to get our car out of the mud after the welcomed rains was greatly appreciated! I Would definitely recommend a stay at Timbavati!

We were incredibly impressed by the lodge – your help was simply outstanding. Everything was perfectly arranged, and the host’s assistants were joyful and absolutely delightful. We ate exceptionally well. Truly no words. Annie and John, we’re deeply grateful for the warm and loving treatment and everything else. A very special thank you to the amazing attendants – your warm smiles and joyful greetings made us feel truly welcome every single day. The food was absolutely Delicious! Set in a stunning location just outside the Greater Kruger Park, there are two viewing decks from which to watch game (we saw elephants, kudu, impala and warthog during our stay). Tommy, Andrea, Jan and their team were lovely and super welcoming. The pool area and surrounds are beautiful and were just what we were looking for, somewhere to relax with a book after a long safari in the Kruger. Lovely bar and a la carte restaurant.
