Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

Exceptional location in the centre, while also remote from, Grassmere village (I know that sounds like a contradiction but a 100m walk and over a bridge delivers you to the village centre), stores, pubs and restaurants are all really close, and any cycling, walking or climbing you may want to do are all direct from the front door. Simply cannot praise the locaton highly enough. The property itself was extremely well presented and equiped with plenty of external, as well as internal dining chairs etc. Loved it!
