A wonderful place to stay and explore Iida. The Cider Barn was warm and welcoming. Bathrooms were spotless, the food was great and we were really looked after. To explore Japanese ciders here was a real treat.

The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We're especially grateful for the generous sharing of their farm produce - the vegetables, rice, soy sauce, and BBQ sauces were all incredibly fresh and delicious. Staying in this place is like fulfilling a dream! We absolutely loved it, our favourite accommodation of our one month trip in Japan. They style and quality of the accommodation, plus the location in Nagiso, giving easy access to the shops, restaurants and train station. Also very much liked the audio system, tv projector and access to Netflix and Amazon. Some very nice touches.

The property is right in the old nakasendo road so very convenient if you’re keen to do some day hiking between post towns. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable and the host Tommy is super helpful. The kitchen is well set up if you want to self cater. They also offer cultural craft experiences and food options which sounded great but as we were travelling with children we did not do those.

+ stunning house and surroundings, it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in + smell of the bath and the view + sandals, yukatas and umbrellas available to wear and take pictures in + optional, free pick-up from the bus and train station + all information provided at check in + dinner in Mountain View restaurant, it is worth the price, delicious and the restaurant was open especially for us after regular hours which made it a very special and private dinner party. The number of dishes and how beautifully they were served were impressive
