The camp is beautifully located just outside the Yala national park. Tents were cosy and safe. The staff was welcoming and so kind to us. Food was delicious, a lot of coconut was used. Guided safari and the bushwalk were the highlight of our stay. We learnt a lot about animals and saw some rare night birds as well. Thank you Makini for all the amazing memories. Wish you the best!

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel for a safari tour. The owner was very helpful. Gave me information what to see in Tissa. He was extremely kind and honest. Not only did he prepare breakfast at 4 a.m., before jeep picked me up, he also let me store my big bag during safari in my hotel room for entire day! He also informed me that I paid much higher price for half day safari on TripAdvisor, so when I complained, they gave me not half day, but full day for free. Furthermore, he arranged a cheap transport for me after safari to Hiriketiya. The room was clean with AC. I am very happy and can't recommend this a accommodation and owner more.

The hosts that were so nice and helpful ! They welcomed us and we talked about a safair in Yala. They advised us to go to Block 1 and booked the jeep and driver for us!

The food was great. The owner and his son were really welcoming and friendly. The booked all my safaris and possible for them to book transfers. The Safari driver on the first day was lovely really knowledgeable- the second day- the driver was really great at spotting animals but drove very very fast lol Would recommend to anyone going to Yala The property is very well maintained, they can arrange anything for you - the pool was great.
