Of course the view sells the property. Beside this, the rooms and beds are comfortable (I think some larger bed sheets and blanket will be a nicer), the kitchen open space with living room is really spacious and it opens onto a large terrace that gets the sun in the early part of the day. From there you can see the pond perfectly. The barbecue area is well equipped although the hood does not cope if the wind blows. We really liked that, in addition to each bedroom having its own bathroom, there are 2 more bathrooms for the common area (kitchen and terrace). Also, each room has it's own thermostat.

The holiday home was fabulous - lots of homemade furniture, so lots of wood... but also all the mod-cons: a coffee maker, a lovely hot shower I was greeted after a long tiring day (my fault) to a roaring hot fire, some homemade bread and cheese and a tomato from the garden - glorious. The host and his wife came round to give me a welcome shot of spirit and make up my bed downstairs near the fire - these are the personal touches that really mean something after weeks on the road.

Casuta bunicilor is a recently renovated holiday home in Volovăţ, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

It was a beautiful amazing stay. In a traditional way but still with modern details combined with a lot of style which made it amazing. The ciubar you can use it for an additional price, but still an amazing experience to chill and float in the salty hot water brought directly from the salt mine that you can visit in the neighborhood. Silent place,perfect to chill and forget about the craziness of life. Recommend it. Visited it with my gf and her parents. Amazing stay also for couples as much as a family vacay.
