From the garden to the art to the food, everything at Black Cottage is a feast for the senses. I want to come back for two or three nights to fully enjoy all Black Cottage has to offer.

South AfricaThe hospitality and friendliness of the owners. Small-town-friendly, acceptance and help. The cottage was neat and clean and a wonderful place to lay your head after a long trip. The owner, (Bluegum) Johan, phoned around to help with information. The trip was a family tree visit to find out more about where our family came from and did. We also went to a restaurant/pub ( Green pub & restaurant) where we meet with some wonderful people from the area who then helped us with a lot of information about the history of the area.

A very well maintained and well decorated cottage in the free state. We enjoyed our stay, the garden is really charming, the host extremely welcoming and interesting, you feel at home away from home.

Dee Dee was an excellent hostess and our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, enjoyed in her dining room in a charming atmosphere. Mac and Buddy were very friendly and our stay was absolutely super.
