For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Welcomed by the hosts, Claudia and Michael, who were very friendly and welcoming. We were shown around the house and given clear demonstrations of everything we needed. We stayed in December, and the house was perfectly warm and cosy throughout our visit. In our opinion, and to our standards, the house was very well equipped and we did not feel that anything was missing. The house is only a two-minute walk from the lake, and the nearby mountains provide a beautiful, peaceful view. For those planning a summer stay, there are also benches, sun loungers, outdoor seating furniture, and a barbecue available.

The view from the house was stunning with the lake and imposing mountains. You could sit on the terrace and have your breakfast looking at the incredible view. The house was very well equipped and pretty. The owners were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They picked us up from the train station. It was a short walk to the lake where you could swim. The village of Traunkirchen was not far to walk and from there you can catch a boat to Gmunden. They are a few cafes in Traunkirchen too. Traunkirchen is a pretty little village. It was nice to get away from the crowds in Vienna.

Our hosts were extremely attentive and quick to respond to questions. The hospitality Hans and Jel provided was over the top. Hans gave us a tour of the house and shared some of its history. He left us to settle in and we were pleasantly surprised to have a stocked refrigerator when we arrived with a variety of beverages, fresh fruit, and chips. The kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, serving dishes, and table settings, and our group of 7 were very comfortable eating around the bench table. The house has great decor, comfortable beds, and ample room to stretch out. We went when it was chilly so we didn't use the patio, but it was inviting. The house is very close to the grocery store and several restaurants. The train goes right by the house, but it's so quiet. It was never disruptive. The area is beautiful and the house was a great place to spend our weekend! Thank you, Hans and Jel!

The house is like in a fairy tale, beautiful sorrunding, nice and relaxing athmosphere. The balcony and the garden are fabuluous, you can enjoy the sing of the birds, the scent of the nature. Couch was very comfortable and the whole living room has fantastic view to the mountains. There are even some boardgames for bad weather times. We will come back for sure for a longer vacation!
