We arrived in the middle of winter and the cottage was warm and inviting ready for us. A truly exceptional booking.

There is also a seating area and a fireplace. The quirkiness of the house and the heating in every room, my husband loved the pinball machine. It was a few minutes by car to drive into town, in the summer it would be a nice walk.

The accommodation was like a home away from home. Artwork and decorative elements throughout as well as extra blankets, picnic rugs made the accommodation feel like home. Melissa left some locally made rocky road as a welcome which was a nice touch. The unit is well insulated, despite sub-zero temperatures outside overnight, we hardly used the heating. There was underfloor heating which I suspect helped.

Such a beautifully appointed country cottage in a splendid location for (a) a walk around the equally beautiful Lake Albert with it's plentiful bird life, and (b) to break up a trip between Sydney and Melbourne. Lots of thought and care from the hosts, too.
