This was the top of the top accommodation in our road trip around Spain. The 18th century family house of Enrique has been lovingly renovated and converted into very comfortable accommodation. The attention to detail in the fitting out of the rooms is to a high modern standard, whilst keeping the charm and style of an 18th century house. The decoration and furnishings are also very tasteful and fit in perfectly with the style and aura of the house. Both Elena and Enrique were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. It is possible to eat there in the evening, there is a limited choice, but all the food is homemade and delicious. The wines available were excellent. The house is located within easy walking distance of one beach with impressive waves thundering in, and another beach a little further afield. The garden has wonderful views over the mountain range in front of the renowned Picos de Europa. It was so relaxing sitting in the peaceful garden admiring the view and enjoying a G&T. It is a wonderful place with excellent hosts.
