Good and clean show + bathtub, comfortable beds en sitting area, comfortable beds, and a smart TV with channels and options for streaming services. The different rooms in the Bed and Breakfast were all very nice and beautifully decorated. We had a tea in the cozy billiard room with a beautiful fireplace. In the morning we had a rich breakfast with a lot of delicious warm and cold options. Last but not least, the staff was amazing! They made the stay even more enjoyable. Everyone was kind and eager to tell about the history of the grounds and the different things to do. We even got a ride to the train station when we were leaving. Thank for that! The environment is a fantastic heritage site with buildings ranging from a 6th Century Chapel - the oldest standing building in Devon - to 16th Century, 18th Century buildings and lovely thatched cottages clustered around a charming courtyard.
The cottage had everything we needed and was charming and cosy. The outside space was wonderful, with a choice of seating areas and fairy lights adding a warm glow in the evening. Best of all was having the hot tub, and we made very good use of it!
Very special place: stunning surrounds, beautiful house, idyllic, cozy and peaceful. Everything we could have wanted in a beautiful getaway and more. Charming, hugely comfortable rooms set in a glorious countryside. Maggie and Quentin are so kind, welcoming, and thoughtful and they think of absolutely everything. Fantastic breakfasts in the mornings as well. We were here fifteen years ago and it is just as wonderful as we remember. We will be back sooner next time! Highly recommend.
Cosy cottage worth hot tub. Very clean, host was lovely. As we arrived they were doing final touches to property. Rose petals on the bed and chocolates were a beautiful touch. Perfect place for a little romantic break. Would absolutely stay again and have already recommended the property to friends and family
Terrific English pub, really comfy beds, historic and charming setting in honey stone green, excellent quality food (the steak and ale pie was delicious) and good range of beers and ciders. Super breakfast and felt very homely. Lovely cottage garden and good ambience. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Excellent service , allowing us to check out a little later, was appreciated.
Calm but central location to explore the Cotswolds. Super cosy traditional cottage, perfectly renovated, combining modern needs and romantic atmosphere. Too bad the weather wasn't great, because the little secret garden in the back was the real cherry on top. Great services available (fireplace, washingmachine as well as basic products like salt, sugar, coffee, tea, soap etc). Definitely recommeded, I hope we will have a chance to stay here again soon!
The property was excellent! The cabins were kept spotless, cosy and fit into the country side perfectly. The hot tub and Sauna were fabulous - you could stay any time of year and be cosy. We stayed in the Nest which was hidden away for privacy with great views of the countryside. They provided us with lots of information about the surrounding area such as walks and places to visit. Staff were very friendly along with the local cats.
