Skalanes Nature Heritage Centre is 19 km from Langahlid Cottages, while Egilsstadir town centre is 29 km away. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

With mountain views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Outdoor seating is also available at the villa. Gorgeous house! The sauna is awesome. The whole house is lovely and luxurious.

So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.
