The peaceful, quiet location was exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. The room was spacious and we were particularly impressed by the interior design of the bathroom. Also I can recommend the dinner, the meat was delicious and the dining area was very cozy.

A recently renovated apartment located in Hvolsvöllur, Country cottage with great view to the glacier, Eyjafjallajökull and Westman Islands features a garden. Easily one of the best accommodations we experienced in Iceland. The house is clean, modern, and very spacious, giving plenty of room to relax after a day of sightseeing. It’s perfectly equipped with everything you might need, which made our stay very comfortable. We also enjoyed the lovely views and the peaceful, quiet surroundings — a great place to unwind and recharge. Definitely a top choice, and we would happily stay here again on our next visit.

The room is located next to a small lake, making it really quiet and cozy. The layout was great — warm and homey — though you do need to be mindful about conserving hot water when showering. At night, it sounded like there were little animals scratching around the house, which actually added a nice touch of being close to nature.
